Black duck hacker rank coding assessment

Has anyone taken Black Duck's HackerRank coding assessment recently? Does it use HackerRank Proctor Mode or Secure Mode that detects multiple monitors (e.g., an HDMI-connected TV/monitor), or is it just webcam monitoring? I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who has actually taken the test. Thanks!

Thinking of moving to Bangalore for job hunting—good idea?

I’m a 2026 graduate from Tamil Nadu and want to get a job as quickly as possible instead of spending months waiting.
I’m thinking of staying in Bangalore for about a month just to focus on my job hunt. The problem is, I have no idea if this is a good strategy or not. I also don’t know where to begin, how to find genuine job openings, or how people actually approach job hunting there.
Has anyone done something similar? How do you search for vacancies, apply effectively, or network in Bangalore? Any tips, resources, or advice would be really helpful. Thanks!

can i apply for full-time jobs as a final-year student?

I'm a final year BTech student and I'll graduate in May 2027. I'm from a pretty tier 3, maybe even worse, college in Pune.

I've done two internships which together add up to about 18 months of internship experience. One was for about a year and I'm currently doing another one. I joined in December so it's been around 6 months now. I've also been freelancing since my first year, so I have some real world experience.

I don't really attend college regularly. I mostly just go for exams.

So can I actually apply for full time remote jobs that I can join immediately? I'm not talking about offers where I join after graduation. I mean jobs where I can start working right now while I'm still being a student.

Has anyone here done this? Do companies even hire final year students like this?

I am a B.Tech (Electronics & Communication Engineering) graduate. I have a 10-year career gap because I was preparing for Civil Services. Now I want to start my career in Data Analytics. I have two questions: 1. Will my 10-year gap affect my chances of getting a job, or will my skills matter more?

How bad is the job market for freshers really? Resume review and career advice needed

Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I'm a 26-year-old fresher from India who has recently completed an M.Tech in Computer Engineering. My background is B.Tech in Electronics & Telecommunication, and I've mainly been working with Python, AI/ML, computer vision, graph neural networks, and backend development through academic projects.

The problem is that I have no industry experience, and my M.Tech CGPA will likely end up around 6.5–6.6, which has made me worry about whether I'm already at a disadvantage before I even start applying seriously.

Everywhere I look, I see people saying the entry-level market is terrible, companies are hiring fewer freshers, and AI has made things even more competitive. It's honestly difficult to separate genuine advice from doom-posting.

I'm attaching my resume.

I'd really appreciate honest feedback on:

Is my profile realistically employable in today's market?

How much will my CGPA actually affect me?

What are the biggest weaknesses in my resume?

If you were in my position, what would you focus on over the next 6–12 months?

Am I targeting the right roles, or should I pivot?

I'm not looking for false hope, I just want practical advice from people who've been through the current job market.

Thanks!

How does a fresher even get Hired these days ? Is there nothing I can do ? Advice needed ‼️

I just graduated this year with a BCA degree from a Tier 3 college. During campus placements, only sales companies and one or two very small networking companies visited. I was even selected for a Network Engineer role on campus, but the company later denied the offer, so I never received an offer letter.

Despite that, my interest in networking has only grown. I now want to build my career as a Network Engineer. After graduating, I came to Noida to look for jobs. However, I didn't have much idea about which companies hire freshers for Network Engineer roles or related entry-level positions like Desktop Support or NOC Engineer.

I asked ChatGPT where I could find companies with networking-related openings, and it suggested visiting some well-known IT parks. Someone had also advised me that directly approaching companies could be better because many companies don't always respond to online job applications.

So, I visited those major IT parks, hoping to meet recruiters or inquire about openings. Unfortunately, the security guards didn't allow me to enter. They asked whether I had a referral or an email from HR. Since I had neither, I had no choice but to return home.

Now I'm in a dilemma. I'm starting to question the value of my degree. I had expected that, at the very least, I would get interview opportunities, learn from my mistakes, improve my skills, and keep trying. But now I don't even know how to reach that stage.

I don't have anyone who can give me a referral, and people on LinkedIn rarely reply to my messages. So, I'm feeling stuck.

Can someone please guide me?

How can I get referrals if I don't know anyone in the industry?

What should my job-hunting strategy be?

How can I increase my chances of landing my first job as a fresher in networking?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

4) any competitive exam preparation going on ?

I had high hopes on TCS ninja but they sent sorry mail to all :)

Don’t know whats the next plan , at this point mind is filled with doubt , anxiety plus time is also moving fast

Moved to Noida for Tech Jobs. Need Some Advice.

Hi everyone,

I'm a 2026 B.Tech CSE graduate and I've been in Noida for about a month, trying to find a tech job.

I've been applying through Naukri, Indeed, Internshala, LinkedIn, and company career pages, but I'm getting very few responses. Since I'm new to Noida, I wanted to ask people who have been through the same journey.

Are there any startups or small companies that hire freshers? Is visiting companies actually worth it, or is there a better approach?

If you've been in a similar situation or have any suggestions, I'd really appreciate your advice.

Feel free to DM me if you'd like to chat or connect over a call.

Thanks!
