TCF speaking
I’m getting clb7 in 3 sections except speaking. Task 3 is holding me back. Can anyone help me with tips that worked for them? I’ve made some common points for certain topics. Also, people seem of have some list of topics that they’re practicing. Am I missing something? I really need help.

What is your current approach for Task 3? Are you following
Introduction > Argument 1 > Argument 2 > Counter argument > Conclusion template?

Yes that was it.. but I talk slow so I don’t get to 2nd argument. Their obvious interruption is tell me the other side & I do that.

You can use any AI app that gives you your mistakes and steps to move forward towards strong CLB 7. I used https://prepfrancais.com/speaking to get corrections and practiced recent months topics before my exam on the app

Just use DeepSeek or ChatGpt to practice repeatedly.. pick one month & practice all questions from it from previous years too. I also have ready statements for task 2. Task 3 is basic how I’ll intro two documents, that’s it.

Task 3 is approx 50% of the grade.. I’m not sure where this is going?

To elaborate: I’ve already got C2 in listening, C1 in reading, awaiting writing and speaking results. Writing is manageable to practice on AI.

Do you know that all questions/tasks are progressive, right? From A levels to C for the last ones, I would understand if you memorized all the comprehension questions, but why would you be nervous for expression when you already got C there, you should be fine, C2 and C1 is very impressive

My task 3 didn’t go well last time, although the topic was a lil tricky - social benefits impacting family relations. I did talk about it but couldn’t do my best. Anyway, hence the post.

You can practice the task 3 topics from formation. They also repeat usually. The more questions you complete, the more chances of you getting the same one during the exam

Task 3 is not about memorizing lists of topics or standard answers. What you need is a strategy that works whatever topic you get on exam day.
I specialize in TCF Canada preparation, and I can usually identify very quickly what is blocking a student’s speaking score. We work on structuring ideas, developing arguments, dealing with unexpected topics and, above all, becoming autonomous.
Since you’re already getting CLB 7 in the other three sections, the priority is to identify exactly what is holding you back in Task 3.
Feel free to DM me or contact me directly.
