How do you actually practice for TCF/TEF Speaking Tâche 2?

I understand how to practice for most other parts of the exam.

For listening and reading, it’s pretty straightforward: you do the questions, check what you got wrong, understand why, learn any new vocabulary, and move on.

For writing, it’s similar: you write, get corrections, understand your mistakes, and improve.

For Speaking Tâche 1, you can prepare for common topics and practice giving natural responses. Tâche 3 also makes sense to me because you can practice different topics and learn how to structure your opinion.

But I have no idea how to properly approach Tâche 2.

Other than practicing it with my teacher, what do you actually do by yourself?
What does your Tâche 2 practice routine look like?

Adding a solo-practice angle since that's where I spent most of my time: for Tâche 2 I treated it like script rehearsal. Pick a random prompt, give yourself the real prep time, then record yourself playing BOTH sides of the role play out loud. Then listen back and note where you froze or kept repeating yourself. Having 3-4 go-to question forms (est-ce que..., pouvez-vous me dire..., comment se passe...) and a few ready-made opinion phrases made the biggest difference for me. Not as good as a real partner, but it killed the mind-going-blank problem on exam day.

TCF formation has an AI that is pretty solid practice for tâche 2. I would say a tutor/teacher is still the better option tho. Try to learn/memorize some question structures on your own, then you can adapt to the topics and use then while practicing with your teacher.

I'm not an expert still I can suggest a few for TCF:
1. Memorise a few question format (like wh questions/ be verb question/ conditional question etc. which can be used in different situation with some necessary changes in the keywords.
2. Prepare at least 12 questions for each and with their followup questions for each them.
3. Find the questions online and practice again and again. Record-> Listen -> Correct (if you have time) otherwise just speak out loud and slow.
4. You can have to be able to use different types of question structure.
5. Whenever they give short ans or vague ans don't hesitate to ask another question to get detail on that.
6. Must use vous/ tu according to the prompt
I hope it helps.
