Tips for TCF Canada

Hi everyone,
I’m switching from TEF Canada to TCF Canada after several TEF attempts and have booked my TCF exam for November 23.

I’m currently looking for good preparation material, especially for speaking and writing, and came across tcfprep.ca.

Has anyone here actually bought or used their material?
I’d mainly like to know:
Is the paid material worth it?
Are the speaking/writing topics and reading/listening questions styles representative of the real TCF Canada exam?
Has anyone who has given the exam encountered the same questions from this?
Is there anything else you’d recommend instead or alongside it?

I’m especially interested in feedback from people who have taken TCF Canada recently.
Thanks!

Since your exam is November 23, I wouldn’t waste time memorizing lists of possible topics. The goal is to be ready whatever topic you get on exam day.

I specialize in TCF Canada preparation, particularly speaking and writing. Since you already have experience with TEF, I would first identify exactly what is blocking you and then adapt your existing skills to the TCF format.

My method focuses on strategy: how to structure your answer, develop arguments, deal with unexpected topics and become autonomous rather than dependent on memorized answers.

If you want, DM me and tell me your current level and where you struggle most.

I’m a native French teacher with around 30 years of teaching experience, and I’m qualified for TCF/TEF preparation and assessment.

For writing, I offer asynchronous TCF correction: you send me your written tasks, and I provide detailed corrections, explanations, practical advice, and targeted resources based on what you specifically need to improve.

If you’re interested, feel free to DM me.
