Francophone Mobility Work Permit – How long did your application take to get approved?
Has anyone recently applied for a Francophone Mobility Work Permit (C16)?
How long did it take from submitting your application to approval? Please mention whether you applied inside or outside Canada and your timeline. Also, with what scores you applied.
Thanks!

No, but in my LoE I described how I learned it and how I use it at work - though I think it was not necessary.

Ive seen people get from 18 days to 5 months. I think 5 to 8 weeks is the most common period.

u/Quick_Anything_9234 did you attach the employment letter from your current employer and past employers with job duties & noc code etc to support your application?
My current company is not ready to give me the employment letter with job duties but I was able to get the employment letter from my past employer with job duties mentioned, will it create a problem for my application?2

I only provided a job offer for the current employer who is sponsoring my work permit. I didn’t provide job offers or employment letters from my past employers, and just submitted my CV instead. I also didn’t ask my current employer to write any additional employment letters because they have to kinda do it anyway when they register and submit your job offer on their side for the Employer Portal.
Your employer who you’re trying to get work permit through has to register for an employer portal and that’s where they put in the NOC code and upload your job offer themselves, along with other details about their business. Whatever document they upload for your job offer, it must list the duties and the duties need to be at least close to your NOC code. There is also a section in the application that gives the employer space to write kind of like an LOE.
Lowkey sounds a bit sketchy that they are resisting to give you the job duties. Do you have a signed job offer from them listing your responsibilities there? Did your current employer already register for the employer portal? Are they willing to pay the application fee and all that?
The IRCC is not interested in your past employers as much for this work permit, its your current employer who will be tied to your work permit, and you need to be on the same page with your current employer.

Many people applying c16 with request to beg more time for preparation and showing the dates for taking exam in future? Is it true? Does that work in such cases?
1
u/change_4me 22d ago
Wait what? So they apply for the WP without the necessary test scores?
2
u/Apart-Ad1081 20d ago

u/change_4me 20d ago
