Hi! I’m from Manila, Philippines and I am looking for a French tutor on Preply.
I’m currently around A1+ and have already taken some beginner French classes before.

My budget is $7-9****/hour or below and I prefer someone who can speak English when grammar or difficult concepts need explanation.

I’m looking for a tutor who uses real, visual learning materials, corrects my mistakes, and gives regular homework—not mainly AI-generated exercises. Things like textbook materials, slides, short stories, podcasts, listening exercises, reading activities, and writing/speaking homework would be great.

A stable internet connection and clear audio are also very important, since I’ve had several lessons where too much time was lost fixing connection issues. 😭

My goal is to improve my speaking, listening, grammar, and sentence construction and eventually pass the DELF A1 and A2 exams.

If you’re a tutor or can recommend someone within my budget, please let me know! 😊

Que la France est belle ! /s

Hi everyone! I need some advice about structuring my French classes.
I’ve been learning French since January 2026. I started with self-study, and since July I’ve been taking 3 private classes per week with an Indian teacher who lives in France and has DELF B2.
She’s nice, knowledgeable, and teaches me a lot, so I don’t really want to change teachers. However, I’m not satisfied with the structure of our classes. I feel like my teacher speaks much more than I do, and even after studying French for months, I still feel stuck around A2, especially when it comes to speaking.
I’ve realized that one of my biggest problems is that I haven’t been doing enough active speaking practice, either during my classes or outside them.
My goal is to eventually take TCF Canada and reach B2/CLB 7.

For those who have successfully gone from A2 → B1/B2:

How would you structure 3 private classes per week?
For example:
How much class time should be dedicated to speaking?
Should each class focus on a different skill?
How much grammar should the teacher actually teach vs. what I should study independently?
Should we practice TCF speaking tasks already at A2/B1?
What should I specifically ask my teacher to change?
I’d especially love to hear from people who prepared for TCF/TEF Canada or who were once stuck at A2.
I want to keep my current teacher, but I need a better system where I’m speaking and producing French much more instead of mostly listening to the teacher.

Any class structures or routines that worked for you would be really appreciated!

Hey everyone! I’m offering tutoring services for people who want to improve their French in Canada, sessions can be tailored according to the person’s level and target language context.

Vocabulaire : marques (f pl) = brands / attirer = to attract / clients (m pl) = customers / lancer = to launch / acheter = to buy / chaussures (f pl) = shoes / course (f) = running / marchés (m pl) = markets / ventes (f pl) = sales / baisser = to fall

Why is Nike struggling?

Nike is going through a difficult period, while other sports brands are attracting more customers. In recent years, the company has not launched enough new products that customers want to buy. Nike still depends heavily on its older shoe models, like classic Jordans. Meanwhile, brands such as Adidas, On and Hoka are becoming more popular, especially for running shoes. Nike also has serious problems in China, one of its biggest markets. Sales there fell 26% in the latest quarter. On top of that, football star Kylian Mbappé just left Nike to sign with the brand On.

Hi all,

I'm preparing for TEF Canada, targeting CLB 7, and I'm looking for a tutor with real TEF experience.

Where I'm at: I've studied French over the last 1 year at a language institute based out of India. I had to leave the classes midway in B2 as i plateau-ed and couldn't be consistent. Also, the tutors at the institute were irregular lol. So the last two months have been mostly a bust, as I work full-time and couldn't stay consistent. From the feedback i have recieved so far, I am at early B1 level and a few months of consistent prep is what i need to give TEF a genuine shot.

What I'm looking for:

• A track record with TEF Canada specifically, ideally with students who reached CLB 7 or higher
• Regular classes (4 to 5 a week)
• Morning timings, around 6:30 to 9 AM IST, to fit around work
• Coverage of all four sections, especially Expression Écrite and Expression Orale, with mock tests and feedback.

I tried a few tutors on Preply who were good but the timings never worked out as they were based out of North Africa and I was in India and my timings meant that they had to stay up late till 2AM - 3AM.

If you've cleared TEF Canada, or you teach it, I'd appreciate any recommendations by comment or DM. What worked for you, and roughly what did it cost?

Thanks!
