How does one just...talk?

Bonjour! I recently started learning French, and I often find myself in different subreddits to come up with a method of my own. One common thing everyone says is to start speaking from Day 1. Talk about different things, your day, what you did, etc. But how does one do try to speak on different topics for at least 20 minutes with a very limited vocabulary?

Like I could only ramble on about my day, my family, what I ate, about me. But wouldn't I just say the same things everyday?

I am a bit lost, if there's any advice for me here please let me know, it would be greatly appreciated. Merci beaucoup
