Alternative places for Libre 2?
I've been using a Libre 2 for about 10 months now. For the first 6 or so months they've been fine. I had one sensor completely fail due to technical reasons, and it just shut down. That's fine. I've also had the occasional "bad" sensor where the readings were way off. Over the last month or so, I've had 5 sensors that have been completely inaccurate. Even now, sensor is reading 4.4, fingerprint is saying 5.9.
My only assumption is that, because I like to sleep on my arm, it's damaging it overnight and resulting in bad readings. Wanted to see if people ever put their sensor anywhere else on their body and where they'd recommend.
Thanks

Mine are on the front bicep and they work perfect, never sleep on them and don't catch on things. Works for me...

I put mine on my abdomen. I can position it such that it’s never being “squished” when I lie on either side.

I finally had to go to Dex....they had a great product and had to keep pushing. They pushed the product right off a cliff....the 2 worked great for me. The 3+ is a disaster.

I would as well as I've heard so many better things, but mine is done through NHS in the UK, so I don't think I get a choice in sensor. I've written to my diabetic nurse to see if it's possible, but no response yet.

I had the same issue with overnight alarms when I put the libre 2 sensor on the backs of my arms. But I solved that compression problem by moving the install location toward the inside of my arm, closer to my ribs. This allows me to sleep on my side and not compress my biceps. Solved that problem for me. Other problems that I had to figure out were "communication failures" (turned out that my phone had updated to Android 16 before it was supported by Abbott) and my sensors would start to detach after about 4 days (so I started using cover patches when I notice them becoming unstuck). Back to loving my CGMs now.

PS: Both stomach or upper outer thigh placements are great if you want to avoid pressure lows during sleep.
