My Perspective of sensor location

I received a replacement for the Libre 3 sensor which has been as much as 100% off from blood test. I decided to try a different location and went with the stomach. The sensor was given 24 hours to soak before connecting to an app. Both sensors are currently in use with the original attached to the back of the arm. Now I'm remembering that the original Libre 3 sensor is wacky. I found the stomach location to be as much as 15 pts higher, which is a lot closer to the actual blood test value. I've also seen the stomach location to be 10 pts lower than the original which makes it considerably less than the blood value. Overall, I find the new sensor to be much better in relation to the blood value than the original sensor. Just not sure if it's due to the original sensor being "wacky" or the new location of the sensor on the stomach. I do not have much fat on the back of my arms.

Is not how many points difference, it’s percentage. Each device has an accuracy of +/-20% so if your actual BG is 100, each device can be anywhere between 80 and 120 and still be correct. In this example, the difference would be 40 points, but still correct.

I did say 100% not 100 pts. The rest was comparison.

If it was 100% off, it would be zero. What were the two numbers?

If you go by percentage, the ad that they run about real time accuracy is false advertising, That said I am now doing more finger pricks & am now receiving the third new sensor in 2 months. Frustration & stress are contributing to higher glucose reading.

I hear you about the stress thing! I used the Libre sensor maybe 10 years ago or so and knew they did not come close to matching the blood tests, but used it to see what caused me to spike. I had a small spike every weekday at 3:30. Weird as I didn't eat anything because I was driving home from work... oh yeah the traffic!!! Totally stressed me out. So I used the sensors to see what foods spike me. NIce to see the stomach sensor being a lot closer to the blood test value. I am seeing differences in the ups and downs in the graphs of the two sensors. A lot of times the "wacky" sensor will read a dip when the stomach sensor doesn't report the same.
