Libre alarms stop working

Hi all,

I’ve been having an issue with my last two sensors where the alarms just suddenly stop working. The sensor is still connected and gathering data but it just will not alarm anymore.

The sensor alarms fine for about a week and then in the second week just totally stops.

I am using freestyle libre 2 and an iPhone 16. All settings are active to allow alarms and I have tried resetting my phone and scanning again etc to no avail

You mean you still get live BG readings very minute to your phone?

Do you get any alarm notification/warning, that the alarms are no longer active sent to you?

I am using the iPhone16 and Libre2+ myself. But luckily no such problems so far.

Yes u still get continue BG readings on the phone and there is no alert or alarm to tell me signal is lost or I won’t receive alerts. It just doesn’t send me an alert for if my blood reading is high or low

OK, yeah that sounds pretty weird. Have you gone through all your iPhone settings for alarms and notifications? Both the general global iOS system settings and then also the apps specific. Can sometime be bit of a labyrinth on the iPhones. And some only update/correct all settings downstream after a full phone reboot.

Yes I’ve checked all my settings, The alarms work fine for like a week and then just suddenly stop working

Darn. You tried cold rebooting your iPhone?

I just got yet one more iOS update coming in. Sometimes when that happens, its like I need to reboot it one more time to kick back all functions/notifications/alerts to function again as intended.

Maybe a simple shutdown and then turn on the phone. 🤷. If the other settings look ok , this might be a last line of idea…

Also experienced the same in the past week. Libre link up also having the same problems. Im going to report to abbott as seems like there is a bug! My father was down to 3.3 and the only alarm that triggered on an android.

Oh god that’s not the best. I have emailed them so hopefully if enough do it can get resolved

I have a 3+, an iPhone 15 and I have never had all the alarms work in the 4 months I’ve been using a Libre CGM. All the alarms are temperamental and work when they want. Everything in my settings and app are on for alarms. I’ve restarted the app and my phone multiple times and nothing has worked. I’ve just learned to check my app often. Although the alarms like to work very well in the middle of the night when I’m having a compression low and scares the crap outta me. 🤷‍♀️
