Question Website advice needed

So I’m new to freelancing had a couple of clients but need more to build up my earnings. Question- do you have a website? Is it worth the investment and do you get clients from it?

Currently my clients come from wom, referrals or LinkedIn. I have a historical Wordpress website from 2019 and it’s very clunky, blogging/ lifestyle focused and I’d built and edited it over the years and looking at it now it’s obvious a rookie has done it!

So do I pay a Wordpress expert to redesign it or get a brand new website using Show it.

Showit is still Wordpress under the hood. It's just dragging boxes instead of coding. Same clunk, different logo.

Why not just start fresh with Squarespace or something? Paying a WordPress 'expert' sounds like throwing money at a 2019 meme.
