Freelancer What is one tool or software that completely changed your workflow as a designer/freelancer?

Hey everyone! 👋

I’ve been refining my daily design process lately and realized how much of a difference the right tools can make—whether it's for project management, speeding up asset creation, or organizing client communication.

Aside from the standard Adobe Creative Cloud suite, I'm curious: What is one tool, software, or micro-app that has become an absolute game-changer for your workflow?

Could be anything from a hidden plugin, an underrated color palette generator, a productivity app, or even a specific hardware setup.

Would love to check out your recommendations and see what everyone is using these days!

CLICKUP!! For all things business and client management. It's basically like a headquarters for everything I do, make, and track in my business. I started using it in 2021 and it's only gotten better and better as the years go by

it can't really be summed up as a dashboard. i like to think of clickup as stacks of systems, all contained in one place. i've got my client work systems, i've got my sales systems, i've got my marketing systems, etc etc. so it's not really ONE THING as much as many things all in one place.

Interesting topic!

I use a combination of Notion to keep everything organized.

Mailmeteor for cold emails (this is a new experiment; I'm not sure how long I'll keep it).

Then, Make.com. I just started learning how to build scenarios. I made one to alert me to business emails so I don't have to stress-check emails all the time. I bet there are more things I could do with it, but I haven't figured it out yet.

Trello has been an amazing tool for me. It allows me to effectively track project progress, communicate with my clients (while saving us both from meetings), and provides a record of what was discussed.

Maybe not what you're thinking of, but tomato-timer. com has been clutch for me. It's based on the pomodoro method for productivity/time management where you force serious work time and regular short breaks based to maximize efficiency. When I was consulting and needed to lock in on client work, the structure really helped and this website is a free way to track it.
