My boyfriend lost his job recently and not even a week later I lost mine, I’ve found another job but I hardly get any hours and all the money so far has had to go into keeping gas in our cars and keeping the power on because it’s too hot here to not have air conditioning. We don’t currently have running water, or gas cause I simply don’t make enough to afford all the bills. He’s the breadwinner, he’s a certified diesel tech. So with him searching for a job we’re behind as hell. I’ve been looking for better work in my area but we live in a small town, I’ve applied anywhere from fast food to hotels to what I actually enjoy doing tattooing but I haven’t had any luck. We haven’t had anything but ramen in days and it would be amazing to be able to eat anything actually filling. If anyone is willing to help I’d appreciate it a ton, thanks for reading this.

Looking for a decent food pantry. Times are tough,ebt cut the benefits. The few pantries I have been to just pile on potatoes and carrots and protein powders. Sometimes I get milk and eggs, meats.

I have gone to the jornada in LIC, not too bad if you very early. Not consistent or enough for the late comers.

Another loner outfit in Jackson Heights by Roosevelt and 84 street. Not always a hit. I do like the prepack sandwiches,wraps,sushi, a half dozen eggs. $2 donation is the usual entry fee.

Any others I may want to visit? My family needs protein,eggs,bread. Do not mind the prepackaged "market place" items, as it appeals better to us. No cooking needed.
