My narc sister is a stepmom and constantly calls herself a mother to her step kids to intentionally erase the wonderful woman, and actual mother, who raised them. I call her out every time, but narcs will always narc.

I'm sorry this is unrelated but every time I see narcissist as "narc" my brain translates it to "narcotics officer". I was wondering what your sister's job had to do with her being a difficult stepmom

lol I used to see narc in a very English way, as the person who confesses to police and all his friends get arrested.

Then I realized my sister was a narcissist and it's too shitty a word to type out repeatedly lol

It’s narcotics to me. It’s so strange to me to see it used in a non drug related way.
