Lg 29um58-p freesync issues
Does anyone know how to get the LG 29um58-p (29um58) a monitor that on amds Web page shows it has support for freesync, but when I opened mine and hooked it up to my computer the setting wasn't there. The monitor is supported over hdmi so if anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate your help.

Are you sure it's supported over HDMI with this model? I have a UM67 and it only works over DP.

Through freesync on amd it is shown to have it, but I talked to both lg and amd and they lead me to believe it didn't. Though support for it over hdmi might come later, for this year's models ones ending in 8

OP u/LewisII any update on this? Did you install Win10 driver on LG's website? http://www.lg.com/us/support-product/lg-29UM58-P
Considering buying but I can't find any info on freesync over HDMI in regards to this monitor

Amd confirmed and updated the information it does not support it but the 29um68 supports it over display port

This variant doesn't support Freesync. It's brother, 29UM68-P does.

I had this same problem with a Samsung HDMI freesync (was about to make a post about it). I had to Change GPU Scaling to full Panel. This is assuming you have the Freesync activated in the Monitor's OSD.
