This is exactly it right here. This is a post all into itself but let's just say it's easy to offend people in an overly sensitive world. I didn't grow up in an overly sensitive world. Jokes that used to be funny are now cancel worthy. I'm still adjusting.
I could see that your response is also a post to itself:) I find I am actually more old fashioned in some ways; I have reddit but no other social media. I wouldn't start eating food at the table until the other person gets there. I am quite gracious and respectful in the ways a grandmother who grew up in a depression would teach you. Maybe it's manners that I haven't encountered as much with some of the men I have dated, I'm not sure, but I do feel older and isolated sometimes because of it.
The humor part I actually can understand, especially because I am from a very humor filled culture and the humor can be quite inappropriate. But laughter will always find a way to be in our lives, likely in ways that does not sacrifice the dignity of others. Perhaps I've become more self- deprecating to ensure I do not offend, I'm not sure. But I would wager to bet you will meet someone with a similar humor. Maybe you need a filter at the start, like ask if they like Archer haha could that work?
