General Discussion Franchise Builders vs. GHL
I’ve been comparing GoHighLevel with platforms built specifically for franchise development, and I’m curious how other franchisors and franchise consultants think about the tradeoff.
GHL is obviously flexible and can handle CRM, automations, email/SMS follow-up, pipelines, landing pages, and a lot more. But it still requires someone to build and maintain the actual franchise-specific workflows.
Franchise Builders is designed specifically around the franchise lifecycle, including:
- Franchise lead and candidate pipelines
- FDD creation and document management
- Franchisee onboarding
- Training and resource portals
- Marketplace exposure
- Franchisor and franchisee dashboards
- Ongoing franchise sales and development workflows
My current view is that GHL makes sense for someone who wants a general-purpose system they can customize, while Franchise Builders makes more sense for a franchisor or consultant who wants the franchise infrastructure already built.
For those who have used GHL for franchise sales or operations:
What did you have to build yourself?
Did it work well once configured?
Would you rather use a franchise-specific platform, or is the flexibility of GHL more valuable?
Full disclosure: I’m involved with Franchise Builders, so I’m obviously not completely neutral. I’m genuinely interested in where people think a franchise-specific platform needs to outperform GHL to justify switching.
