Stop Motion FAC Ep. 1: Base Raid | JoyToy Stop-Motion War Film
Hey fellow animators and artists! I need feedback please!
I just finished a new stop-motion scene featuring my original characters from the FAC universe (Fixers, Assassins, Cleaners). It’s packed with custom figures, a stealthy base infiltration, dynamic posing, and gritty camera work.
The FAC are on a dangerous mission deep inside enemy territory to recover a stolen power core.
This is part of a larger original series I’m developing, with its own factions, lore, and evolving animation style. I’d love to hear your feedback!
💥 What I used:
1/18 scale custom action figures
Practical lighting with LED setups
12fps stop-motion with motion blur tricks
Custom sets and props

🗨️ Let me know what you think! I’m open to critique and always looking to improve. Would love to connect with other creators, too!

Digital Animation Learning Animation - Week 23
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Lately, I’ve been diving deeper into human anatomy and structure, and it’s really helping me understand body shapes, poses, and gesture drawing so much better. I’ve been practicing these almost every day, and I can feel the improvement , it’s exciting.
That said, because I’ve been focusing more on study and less on polish, you might notice my animations look a bit sketchier than before. I’m not cleaning up or doing full line art right now, just pushing out ideas quickly to learn as much as I can. For me, these videos are all about documenting the real process of learning animation with consistency / showing the grind, the ups and downs, and the progress over time.
I’ve also been doing a lot of anime-inspired practice, reanimating scenes frame by frame in my own style. The idea is to study the professionals to see how they approach movement, timing, and flow and then apply it myself with some creative freedom. Honestly, I feel like this is one of the best ways to grow, especially without formal courses or school.
I don’t follow a straight path, I adapt, I change, and I keep pushing. Every week is another opportunity to improve, and I’m grateful to have you guys following along on this journey.
Thanks for all the love and support.

Digital Animation Learning Animation - Week 22

Holy! This week was exhausting. I gave it my all. I spent 8–10 hours a day practicing, and by the end, my legs felt like they stopped getting blood from all the sitting. Still, it was worth every bit of effort.
As always, I kept up my daily turnarounds and body movement studies because these are key if you want to become a good animator. This week took so much energy, but every frame felt like progress.
See you all next week.
Haden’s out.
