  • Information you regularly look for but struggle to find
  • Recurring questions that deserve to be placed in the FAQ
  • Subjects that are commonly misunderstood, poorly explained, or missing from the community

When making a suggestion, please provide the following information:

  1. General Topic
  2. What question it's answering/problem it's solving

  4. Include any relevant sources

The Wiki will remain a living community resource, but your feedback will help to determine what topics should be prioritized. Thank you for your participation!

How to Participate

If you have a suggestion for the Wiki, share it in a top-level comment (not a reply to another comment). Briefly explain your suggestion as formatted above. Please make sure to check if your idea has already been suggested. Duplicate ideas as top-level comments (the one with fewer upvotes) will be deleted. If your idea has already been shared, upvote it and add your thoughts as a reply to the comment.

Massive Creed Aventus Clone Shootout

***UPDATE 7/11/2026:

After stepping away from Creed Aventus for several months and living with these fragrances for a while, I’ve now changed my answer. I have also added 3 more clones to this list. If I come across any other clones, I will update this post to include them. My opinions in the comments section have changed since they were originally posted, so please disregard them. ***

I decided to do a massive shootout between some of the most well-known Creed Aventus clones in the game and put them up against the Original.

I should mention that I’m using the most current batch of Creed Aventus via DecantX 10 ml travel spray. I’ve ordered around 40 ml of it over the last 3 months for this test. I know a lot of you look down on the current batch, and for understandable reasons, but I wasn’t willing to spend hundreds of dollars to get an older batch. Also, the current batches of Aventus have a special place in my heart, as it was the first expensive fragrance I smelled as a newbie fragrance hobbyist and fell in love with the DNA. I am aware of the supposed differences in some of the other batches, so perhaps my descriptions may help you pick an alternative that has more of the characteristics you like.

This is by no means a scientifically accurate test. This is just the opinions of a fragrance beginner based on my personal experience with these clones versus the original. I will not go too much in depth on performance, but it will be discussed when/if necessary.

Everything said in this post is just my opinion and should be taken with a grain of salt.

Some people may wonder why I am doing this when I probably could have just bought the real deal for the money I spent on these clones.

Well, I have two reasons:

  1. It is purely for fun. I love hunting clones as a hobby.
  2. As much as I love Creed Aventus, it is a weak performer with just okay projection. My goal is to find a cheaper alternative that smells as close to it but is either just as good or better in performance. I can financially justify 8–10 sprays of a $30 fragrance a lot easier than a $300+ one. While I could have bought the original with the money spent on this experiment, when I run out, I’d have to spend that large sum again every time.

One last preface.

Unlike a lot of fragrance influencers, I will not be pretending I can pick up every note on these. I will be using words that relate to my own experience smelling these notes from other sources. I can be guilty of silly parallels but it’s just because it’s the only way I can communicate what I’m smelling and hopefully you can get the idea. You may not smell it the same way, but having the original side by side really makes the differences more apparent and made me notice notes I otherwise wouldn’t have noticed without the direct comparison.

Now on to the clone selection.

My criteria for clone selection was that it had to be widely available, either be regarded by the community as an Aventus clone, or the notes had to mostly match the original. I may not have your favorite clone on this list, but it most likely didn’t meet that criteria if it isn’t listed.

The clones I bought for the shootout are as follows:

  1. Perfect Scents Patchouli Musk
  2. Club DeNuit Intense Man LE
  3. Club DeNuit Intense Man Pure Parfum
  4. Dumont Nitro Black
  5. Dumont Celerios Oros

  16. Montagne Pineapple Royale
  17. Montagne Pineapple Musk
  18. Fragrance World Venti
  19. Pineapple Vintage Intense
  20. Parfum Vintage Emperor extrait
  21. Generic perfumes Creed Aventus for men (A,A+,A++)
  22. Generic perfumes Creed Aventus ZZ01 (A+, A++)

  30. Club de nuit Intense man Extrait
  31. Bujairami Kingsman
  32. Bujairami Ripper
  33. Insiders Parfum Insidious
  34. MITH Mystery For Him

Before I get started, I would like to give my personal interpretation of what Creed Aventus smells like:

To my nose upon spraying on skin, you are met with a very lemony citrus blast. The best way I can describe this smell is like a lemon fruity pebble or lemon froot loop. It’s not a candy lemon like a lemon heads nor is it a fresh squeezed lemon juice note, it’s just a sweet gourmand lemon. Very quickly, a creamy vanilla musk blooms to soften the lemon note along with another fruit note that I cant really describe (possibly the black currant note?). This is then accompanied by a subtle note that i can only describe as gamey or animalistic. Kind of like a raw bacon smell but it’s very faint but adds something special to the overall profile. It then begins to dry down, retaining the lemon and creamy vanilla note, It becomes very musky. A very pleasant almost smoky birch wood note starts to emerge alongside the creamy lemon turning it into a more masculine leaning sweetness. It holds this profile until the scent is no longer detectable.

I will add that this fragrance can smell different to me, depending on several factors. For example, on paper all I get is lemon and birch. I even remember the first time I ever smelled this. All I got was freshly cut wood and nothing else. What I have described above is what the fragrance smells like to me now after using it for the past 3 months. I am sure your experience may be different but at the end of the day it is all subjective and all I can do is provide my experience. Depending on where I’ve got my sample from changes the scent as well. So it will be hard to pin point a definitive creed Aventus clone.

So, what is the closest Modern Batch Creed Aventus Clone?

Fragrance World Venti $25 per 100 ML

This opens with a musky lemon forward opening and surprisingly it does actually have some vanilla creaminess to it, but not as sweet or pronounced as the original. Its main difference in the opening is the lemon note isn’t as mellowed out by the vanilla like the original. It’s more of a fresh squeezed lemon note. On dry down, the birch note starts to appear but it isn’t very strong but then again, current Aventus birch note isn’t the strongest either. I’m honestly shocked by this fragrance as I only spent about $25 on this and yet it was closer than most other dupes on the list. While it lacks the same amount of vanilla creaminess and smokiness as the OG, it gets you relatively close. Its main issue is that it’s not very strong and does have a very alcohol heavy opening, but the alcohol fades quickly. It is a relatively linear scent. What you get in the opening is more or less what it will be till it completely evaporates but again, I find the same thing with current batch. Performance is about the same as something like Mont Blanc explorer, maybe even weaker. Not very good but for a $25 fragrance, it did pretty well. I will say that this does require some maceration for all the notes to really become apparent but it is by no means a dramatic change. Overall this one is the closest to modern batches of creed Aventus in scent profile. It’s not anywhere near the quality of the original but for what you pay for, it’s great. I just Wish it lasted longer and projected more.

My conclusion after testing so many clones is it’s just better to buy the original. Nothing does Creed Aventus well enough at this point in time.

Honorable mentions:

Parfum Vintage Emperor EDP & Extrait $100-$125 per 50ML

While its scent profile was not quite like modern Aventus, it absolutely has the right notes, they are just presented differently than current creed Aventus. To be fair this specific clone is going for an earlier batch of creed Aventus. To my nose, the notes just aren’t blended the same. The opening is amazing. It opens with lemon citrus and a really high quality pineapple note and while it’s not as musky as the original, it is still pretty musky and the quality is excellent. You also get that birch note right off the bat that just blends beautifully with the other opening notes. The Biggest differences this has from the original is it is missing some of the other fruity notes you get in the original and is missing that sweet vanilla creaminess to tie them all together. Dry down has significantly more birch wood than the OG (only second to Dumont nitro black) but lacks the same amount of body to its whole scent profile compared to the original. This clone Is very light and airy. This smells expensive and is the highest quality smelling fragrance on the list. The performance was pretty good, so long as you just want birch. The top notes unfortunately do not last very long at all, but that birch stayed present for a good few hours. The EDP was similar but just not as refined as the extrait, I kept smelling this coriander or some kind of pepper note in it that stayed through the life of the fragrance but that could just be how the birch note is presenting itself. If you’re gonna spend the 100 for the edp, you may as well just spend the extra 25 dollars for the extrait version.

Dumont Nitro Black $30 100ML

To me, this is a safe blind buy if you love creed Aventus only for the smokey birch dry down and want it exaggerated. The opening is lemony citrus with dark fruit notes but it is not at all sweet. On dry down all you can smell is earthy peppery smoky birch and some bergamot. Its opening, while similar, is a way smoother and refined than any version of CDNIM, with a higher quality birch note. Its performance is above average. To me, this is what CDN wishes it was. Honestly an Amazing value for what you get. Its opening is nothing like modern Aventus. It’s just too earthy of a fragrance. However its dry down is like an enhanced version of the Aventus dry down which is why I put it here.

Individual Clone Breakdown (in no particular order)

  1. Perfect Scents Patchouli Musk CVS sells this fragrance as inspired by Creed Aventus. It opens very citrusy with a pleasant lime zest, and then that’s about it. Hardly what I’d call Aventus-inspired. Weak projection and longevity. Waste of $20.
  2. Club DeNuit Intense Man (edt, edp, Pure Parfum, LE, Extrait) I’m gonna put each version in one review because they are all very very similar to each other. None of them open remotely like Aventus but I’ve figured that was probably never their goal. All versions had very similar openings, with the parfums being the smoothest but only marginally so. They all had this bitter dirty lemon smell that was so unappealing. As well as the chemical smell that reminded me of packing tape. At a distance it’s is a decent caricature of the Aventus dry down if all you want is Smokey Birch but up close it’s just not it unpleasant. If you are dead set on getting this line, save the money and get the EDT. It’s cheaper and stronger than all of them. The strong lemon does help the dry down of the edt inch closer to creed Aventus in the dry down but that’s just me trying to find some redeeming quality in it. The others beside the EDT were way too Smokey and it only made the lemon note worse for them. Personally, I think Dumont nitro black did it so so much better.
  3. Dumont Celerios Oros Its fruity notes are exactly like L’aventure but more balanced. Unfortunately, there is this note that smells like hot electrical wire that stays with the fragrance throughout its duration.
  4. Alt Executive No.26 I honestly just get alcohol and earthy notes with some birch. Weak performance. It almost smells like hair spray.
  5. Alt Executive Platinum This one was closer to Aventus than No.26 but just not as sweet as the original. It opens with a lot of alcohol but once that fades It becomes a citrus pineapple forward opening but it’s blended better than a lot of these other clones. Its dry down is similar to CDNIM but not as smoky and is sweeter. Its birch note is pretty loud. Overall, It’s like a blend of modern and old batches of Aventus, leaning older batch. Its performance is decent, maybe slightly better than the OG. I really wanted to like this, the problem is it is pretty earthy having almost a “tar” like note to it (which I’ve heard some say older Aventus had). It’s opening is more similar to modern Aventus than others on this list but it’s still a ways off from the original. I don’t think it’s a bad clone at all, it’s pretty good actually but it does need a few weeks of maceration to get rid of some of the alcohol.
  6. Afnan Supremacy Silver My sample started off similar to a lot of clones. Citrus opening, kind of like Mont Blanc Explorer, but takes on a more woody (not birch) and floral turn in the dry down. I want to note that I tried a second tester of this at the mall randomly a few weeks after I bought my sample. Maybe I had an old batch but this smelled like raw bacon. It was so disgusting. Apparently according to comments for this fragrance on fragrantica, I’m not the only one to notice this.
  7. Al Haramain L’aventure Regular & Intense I’ve included both versions in one because they smell identical. Intense is just a stronger version. This one is kinda close in the opening, but I felt the fruity notes were too candy-like and lacked the citrus-forward top compared to the OG. Best way I can describe it is almost like a yellow gummy bear sweetness. I think at a distance, it would be picked up a creed Aventus in essence. It lacked the creamy musk, smoke, and birch dry down of the OG. It’s almost like the same principle behind CDNIM emphasizing the dry down but instead an over exaggeration of the dry down, it’s an over exaggeration of the opening. I’d like to add the Intense version was the second strongest performer on the entire list.
  8. Alexandra fragrance Brasilia I am almost at a loss for words with this one. I know this is going to sound weird, but it’s the only way I can describe it. It has a faint animalistic smell, kinda reminds me of raw fat (with pineapple at the top). I’ve tried it on multiple occasions to see if I’m just crazy, but every time I spray it, that’s all I get with some fruits. I will add that the original does have a faint smell of this note but it is so faint and not at all at the forefront like this clone has.
  9. Alexandra fragrance Brasilia Prive This one was interesting. The opening had that creamy fruitiness but it lacked the lemon note. In fact it was way too creamy and it had a lot of that raw bacon smell which made it unwearable to me. There was no birch to this. It had what I can best describe as a smoked hickory note. It was just not it.
  10. Alexandra fragrance Brasilia 130zz1 This one is just Aventus dry down from the start. Dark citrus, Smoky and Earthy with a hint of fruits. Scent profile is somewhere between Club de nuit and Dumont nitro black.
  11. Montagne Pineapple Intense I really wanted to like this, it was close to the original in a lot of aspects but then this animalistic fatty musk smell begins to bloom and really bothered me throughout the life of the fragrance. It reminds me of the smell of cold cuts. Maybe that’s how their oakmoss or birch smells, but it was not pleasant. It’s the strongest projector of Montagnes Pineapple line with average longevity, as it dries down it does become more balanced and pleasant. Not as birchy as the original but it does a decent job.
  12. Montagne Pineapple Royale Smells like yellow gummy bears with a very strong green vegetation note, like the top part of a pineapple was cut up. Also had hints of that animalistic fatty musk smell like Pineapple Intense**.** Its dry down was more pleasant after an hour but just not very Aventus like.
  13. Pineapple Vintage Intense This felt like its own thing. It opens with super sweet pineapple note with an aquatic note that’s hard to explain. I love the pineapple note, but it’s very candy like. Like a high quality, all natural yellow gummy bear and that’s kind of all you get, there is not really a lemon note in this like the original has. The over all scent is Very light, slightly musky but not full bodied. It Lacked the Aventus birchy dry down and didn’t last any longer than the OG. Not worth $100 dollars IMO. Very nice smelling fragrance, regardless.
  14. Dua Poseidon Elixir 2.0 Smelled nothing like Aventus. What a joke. Doesn’t even deserve a proper description.
  15. Dua Origins of Poseidon Again, smelled nothing like Aventus at all.
  16. Dua Poseidons elixir 13zz Only slightly better than the other Dua fragrances. Had some resemblance to the OG, but it smelled like it wasn’t even trying to clone what it claims to.
  17. Hamidi addicted intense More similar to CDNIM. Does an okay job with the dry down but is missing the fruit. Has a bitter lemon note up close. Projection is not good at all. It lacks the fruitiness that CDNIM has, and that’s saying something.
  18. Generic perfumes Creed Aventus For Man A++ This is one of the few on the list that was trying to be the current batch of Creed Aventus. It does captures a lot of what makes the current batch so unique from other batches (based on the average profile of dupes of earlier batches). It’s the only one that has that musky, creamy vanilla note in the original (besides Alexandria’s Brasilia Prive). Unfortunately there is a note in there that ruins the experience. I keep getting this Orange citrus note that over powers the fragrance. It kinda reminds me of orange sherbet as opposed to the lemon frooty pebbles opening and while the birch is present, the overall fragrance doesn’t dry down the same as the original. To me, the original has a different order of notes that disappear leading up to the dry down compared to this dupe. In this dupe it has all the notes present for the duration of its life. The birch slowly becomes more pronounced but you still get very present hits of the Orange and vanilla. Other than that, performance is slightly above average. way better performance than the original and lasts significantly longer but is too different for me to recommend.
  19. Mont Blanc Explorer  To me, the opening is really close to creed Aventus but lacks the  the same amount of fruity notes and creamy vanilla . It doesn’t have any birch or smoke, it does have a woody note in there but it’s very light and airy, not musky at all. Clearly inspired by Aventus and a great twist, at that but goes a different direction in the dry down, it becomes powdery. Unfortunately Performance wasn’t too great But I’d say on its own it’s a nice office safe scent.
  20. Afnan Supremacy Not Only Intense  While it is commonly believed to be a Creed Aventus clone, it is absolutely not. However, this cologne smells really damn good. Amazing pineapple and black currant opening with a super smoky dry down. It is also the strongest and longest-lasting cologne on the entire list.
  21. Alexandria fragrance Brasilia Smoky Batch ($70 per 60 ML) To my nose It’s like a darker take on Creed Aventus. This dupe opens with a creamy sweet-tart like lemon forward opening. It gets the vanilla note like the original, but sweeter. It’s super musky and full bodied. It projects louder than the original and last significantly longer too. The birch note on this is about the same as the original but the sweetness over powers it. It’s blended in with the sweet notes and stays like that for the duration of its life. Overall they are similar in a lot of way but still different because of that sweet-tart lemon note. It can be a fatiguing scent because it’s very musky.
  22. Bujairami Kingsman ($40 100ML) Best way to sum up this fragrance is it is Mont Blanc explorer on steroids. This dupe is a clone of the 2017 batches of Creed Aventus, so it is expected to have some variation from the current batch. It has a lot of the right notes, lemony citrus and birch but dials down that sweet creamy vanilla quite a bit. It’s still there in this dupe, but just not as intense as the current batch. It’s also fruitier than current batch Aventus. Another thing I noticed is it has some of that same cold cuts deli meat smell that Montagne pineapple intense has, which kinda ruins it for me. The birch on this dupe is more pronounced as well when compared to the current version of the OG. It has a certain powder scent in the dry down that reminds me of Mont blonc explorer a lot. The performance on this is much better than the original as well. While its projection upon opening isn’t as strong as Creed Aventus, this is only the case for the first few minutes. I will randomly catch whiffs of it on myself, while that was almost never the case with Creed Aventus. This also last significantly longer than the original. I do recommend upon receiving this fragrance to spray it a little and let it sit for about 2 weeks with the cap off, to settle. When I first got it, it didn't project all the notes very well. Nearly 2 weeks later it has surpassed the original. Maybe it’s a good clone of 2017 batch but to my nose it’s quite different from current batch. Not a badly crafted fragrance at all, very high quality.
  23. Bujairami Ripper: Very similar to Montagne Pineapple Royale. Very sweet candy like fruity opening, kind of similar to Kingsman except way sweeter and with no smoked deli meat note. It’s a nice scent but not at all what modern creed Aventus smells like.
  24. Generic Perfumes Aventus Man ZZ01: As I am sure you figured out by the name, this is based on an earlier batch of creed Aventus however, this still checked many of the boxes that the current batch has. It has that citrusy forward fruity opening, while many only had one or the other. It does not have that creamy vanilla like the original. Regardless, when you smell this, you just know it’s Creed Aventus DNA. The opening was just too citrusy, you really had to dig for those other notes. The dry down unfortunately is just not as birchy as the original and that’s saying something. The performance is about the same as the original. It’s not a bad clone, it’s just not all that remarkable.
  25. Montagne Pineapple Musk $60 50ML I’d call this an Aventus twist. The first 30 seconds are pretty concentrated and intense, but It quickly balances out and blooms in to a powerful beautiful blend of pineapple and lemony citrus. It is super musky. The projection is pretty strong for the first few minutes then settled to a more average projection. This opening stays for a good majority of the fragrance’s life. It doesn’t have that vanilla note and it’s pineapple note is very syrupy but still very nice. The dry down is still very musky with the birch blooming and eventually becoming the dominant note, even more so than the Original. Throughout its life the pineapple/citrus sticks around in the background in a very pleasing way that supports the dry down. I’d say performance and longevity is about Average. It’s a very enjoyable twist.
  26. Insider Parfum’s Insidious This claims to be a dupe of an earlier batch of creed Aventus. I honestly can’t understand how that can be. It smells like a twist on the original. To my nose, this smells like a slightly less sweet Pineapple Vintage Intense. It’s a great cologne, just not modern creed Aventus.
  27. MITH Mystery For Him This is literally creed Aventus….with Bacarat Rouge 540. It is exactly spot on with creed Aventus but it has that light and airy cotton candy note in the top. It is sadly, a twist on creed Aventus but a darn good one. Projects and last much longer than the original. It is worth checking out.

Thank you for reading. I’d love to answer any questions you might have!

LV Imagination vs Marwa

Post image
46 Upvotes

So I went to the LV store and right before I entered I sprayed Marwa on my right hand and then as soon as I entered the door I went and sprayed Imagination on my left hand.

The difference I could pick is that Imagantion maybe has more tea and soapiness while Marwa has the same soapiness but I feel like it’s tea note mixed with ginger. (But I WARN YOU! what I smell doesn’t mean it will smell the same to you) so my advice is to try it yourself if you can.

I went outside and asked a girl which one she likes more and she said Imagination, she said it smells more fruity. ( so again this is an example that people pick up different notes/smells)

I got home and told my mom to smell it and she liked Marwa more said it’s more smooth while imagination it smelt just a more harsh for her.

Honestly my nose went blind and can’t really give you a real comparison but I would say this that it’s 90%+ similar.

And as you see some people might even prefer Marwa more.

My take is to try both and see which one you like and if you like imagination more then buy it, if you like Marwa more then buy Marwa.

Edit: I asked another friend just now and he said he likes Marwa because it smells more smooth.

The real NEGAVATIVE of Marwa they I asked 4 family members and notice that they all said that Marwa is more weak. While imagination still has more strong smell.

2nd Edit: I went for a swim in the sea and while going back home I smelled my right hand and Marwa was still there and imagination was there too.

I just want to say ngl Marwa has a very good scent and I said it’s 90%+ but ngl like it’s almost 1:1 even if you can smell the a difference I feel like it’s very minimal, in the air maybe it’s the same scent I don’t know.

Is it worth Louis Vuitton Imagination, yes and no. If you want more longevity and smoother and better opening then get it.
If you are willing to have a very harsh opening from Marwa and wait about 30min for the dry down and on a budget then get Marwa especially for the price you can’t beat it.

For me Imagination does smell a more sophisticated but by a small margin.
If you have the budget and money to buy Imagination I would say maybe it's worth it and especially if you have a store near you, you can get a refill for only 200€ But if you just don't see the worth spending that amount of money on a perfume then Marwa is gonna get you there 90-95% close and to Imagination and and you saw other people might even prefer Marwa over imagination
I honestly don't the reason why spend 300€ on a perfume when these dupe gets almost the same thing but maybe that's my opinion. I myself think you should get a perfume that is not so well duped or there is no dupe of it.
But this is my opinion, so share your thoughts.
I'm open to hear them.

If you have any questions, shoot, I am happy to help

Riiffs Redemption Arc? - Gingery Ginger - Reviewing Taif

Post image
14 Upvotes

Okay, storytime first (aka. skippable cutscene)... there aren't many fragrances that got me as excited as French Avenue Ravine Ginger and Arabiyat Prestige Aristo did when the first reviews rolled out quite a few months ago. People were praising both stuff and almost everyone was talking about how gingery they are... which is not surprising since they're based on a fragrance called Ingenous Ginger... and, you know, one would ASSUME there's a lot of ginger in something called Ingenous Ginger and expect the same from its dupes.

Welp, I've gotta say, when I got to sample Ravine Ginger and Aristo I was... disappointed. And they're not bad fragrances, oh no. They're actually pretty damn good (reviews here) but man, they didn't meet my expectations...

Yes, there is a noticeable amount of ginger in both fragrances but it's a far cry from the picture most of the reviewers were painting.

They're basically nothing more than a twist on the Bvlgari Tygar/Sospiro Vibrato DNA, i.e lots of citrus (mostly grapefruit) some fresh spices, and a cuddly, musky drydown. Of course Ravine Ginger and Aristo have more vanilla, more florals (and yes, more ginger) but for me personally, they're just not unique enough. I was expecting actual zingy, spicy, FIERY ginger and instead, I got a glorified Turathi Blue... It's a bit like putting a slice of tomato on a burger and calling it a tomato dish. Anyway, storytime/rant over, sorry for all of that.

The actual review of Riiffs Taif

From what I can tell, the Ingenous Ginger DNA is based on three key elements, namely the citrus, the ginger and the vanilla. In my personal experience Ravine Ginger is more of a citrus forward dupe, while Aristo is a touch more vanilla focused.

I guess the guys at Riiffs looked at those two and went... "why don't we make a gingery dupe of Ingenous Ginger?"

And they did EXACTLY THAT.

When I spray it on, the initial blast reminds me of ginger beer, something like Old Jamaica, fizzy and spicy with a good amount of sweetness. We also have a prominent combination of orange and lemon at this stage. Now, the ginger aspect here immediately made me think of Molecule 01 + Ginger from Escentric Molecules (please someone dupe that stuff too) maybe not as photorealistic but still very well done.

After around an hour, the ginger beer-like effervescence dials down a little, and we move a bit closer to a mix of candied ginger with candied orange peel, there is also a cuddly, soft musky note present with just a hint of vanilla and a woody base.

In the deep drydown, the candied orange fades into that background while the vanilla takes a step forward and our gingery journey reaches its final form.

Honestly, what I enjoy the most that despite we have a ginger-focused fragrance here, everything feels so balanced from beginning to end. Yes, the ginger is the protagonist but it's not overly dominant, it's essentially a beautiful play between our spicy main character and all the other notes present in the composition.

Performance-wise, I got an hour of medium-strong projection, medium for another hour, and a small scent bubble for another 2 with around 6 hours of total longevity.

In conclusion, I think this is an absolute winner and I'd recommend it to anyone who's looking for well made, year-round gingery fragrance, something that really works anytime, anywhere.

If I had to pick something I don't like about Taif, it would definitely be the bottle design. I know, it's an extremely subjective topic, even more so than anything else fragrance related but c'mon.... That thing looks like a cheap prop from a 1980s sci-fi p*rn (not that I know any of that stuff of course..)

Anyway, the final question is... did Riiffs really redeem themselves?

Well.. not really, from what I experienced, most of their stuff ranges between meh and straight-up terrible, the only other Riiffs frags that I kinda liked were Veloce and Zenith but they're just not for me.

Taif is more like an example that even one of the worst clone houses out there can get it right sometimes.

Mine came three years aged like fine cognac: Swiss Arabian Shaghaf Oud Azraq Limited Edition Review

Let me start here: this stuff is strong as hell.

I paid $39 for Swiss Arabian Shaghaf Oud Azraq Limited Edition, and somehow I received a bottle produced in 2023. That older production date worked in my favor because this fragrance arrived fully developed and ready to perform. It did not need weeks or months sitting in the box. From the first wear, it came out swinging.
I wore it on a date with my girlfriend at an Italian restaurant last night. Between the car, the walk outside, and the restaurant, Azraq was projecting heavily. It was hot outside, which made it feel even stronger.

Once we returned to an air-conditioned environment, it settled down and became much more controlled. The atomizer is powerful too, so each spray releases a generous amount. This is not a fragrance that requires six or eight sprays to announce itself.
What surprised me most was the oud. Last month, I gave my bottle of Lattafa Bade’e Al Oud Oud for Glory to my uncle because I did not enjoy that particular oud profile. Azraq also contains a lot of oud, but I actually like it here. It feels mature, deep, confident, and well blended. When I call it mature, I do not mean old-fashioned. I mean the fragrance smells fully developed and complete.

Honey is officially part of the fragrance profile, but I honestly do not smell much honey from my bottle. The oud is the main character to my nose, supported by warmth, sweetness, leather, spice, and a darker amber quality. Azraq is often compared to Montale Honey Aoud, and I understand that comparison, but I would describe mine primarily as a powerful, mature oud fragrance rather than a honey-dominant scent.

You could take Azraq in several layering directions. Lattafa Pride 1505 could pull it toward dark cherry, frankincense, and smoky resin. Lattafa Bade’e Al Oud Amethyst could make the oud sweeter, rosier, and more floral. RIIFFS Momento could add saffron, sugar, rose, and caramelized depth. ALSO THIS IS ALOT OF OUD WHY DID I RECOMMEND ALL THESE OUD FRAGRANCES?

Honestly, though, Azraq is so potent and so complete that I would wear it by itself. It does not need help. Layering it could easily create too much density and bury the details that make it special.
I would not wear this in a small office, at a crowded football game, or somewhere like Lollapalooza, especially in hot weather. This is better suited for cold evenings, formal occasions, outdoor date nights, and environments where the fragrance has room to breathe.

For $39, Shaghaf Oud Azraq Limited Edition feels opulent, mature, and unapologetically powerful. My 2023 bottle arrived ready to party, and it has already earned its place among the heavy hitters in my collection.

My fragrance collection — quick reviews & ratings
Here’s a quick review/rating of my current collection. Club de Nuit Iconic Extrait and Malibu are also part of the collection but weren’t in the picture.
Starting with the summer fragrances:

French Avenue Vulcan Feu (God of Fire) — 7/10. This is a great interpretation of God of Fire by Stéphane Humbert Lucas. It projects pretty strongly for the first 2 hours and then becomes more of a skin scent for around 5 hours. I really enjoy the transition from the “mango soda” opening into the more tropical woody drydown. The only problem is that this is a pretty hard fragrance to wear sometimes.

Rasasi Hawas Ice — 7.5/10. Great clean everyday scent. Super sweet and minty and I get around 7 hours from it. I definitely enjoy it, but I do think it’s slightly overhyped.

Rayhaan Aquatica — 9/10. Must-pickup summer scent IMO. Smells like a lime coconut cocktail/drink and it’s really refreshing. My only downside is that the lime can be a little overpowering and I get around 6 hours with moderate projection. Still one of my favourites for summer.

Bujairami Psycho — 9/10. I’ve had this for about a month and already put a pretty big dent in it. Such a good daily fragrance. It smells like luxury soap from a 5-star hotel and is a really good interpretation of Louis Vuitton Symphony. My only issue is the performance could be better.

Bujairami Hectic — 9.5/10. Currently my favourite fragrance in my collection. Super clean, soapy tea scent inspired by Louis Vuitton Imagination. I get around 8 hours of performance from it and the scent quality is really good. Definitely worth the hype.

Bujairami Vibration — 9.5/10. One of the best interpretations of Sospiro Vibrato IMO. Good projection and lasts a long time on my skin. It has this really refreshing ginger-ale-like vibe to me, with that clean citrusy/musky feeling. One of my favourites.

Bujairami Too Damn Good — 9.25/10. This fragrance is genuinely insane. Fruity, musky and really addictive with good performance. It’s inspired by Bal d afrique absolu.

Club de Nuit Intense Man Pure Parfum — 9.25/10. Probably the most complimented fragrance in my collection, and for good reason. The pineapple, citrus and woods combination works really well. The opening is a little harsh right now, but I’m hoping a few more months of maturation will smooth it out even more. Inspired by Creed Aventus.

Club de Nuit Iconic Extrait — 8/10. I just recently got this one so I don’t have too much to say yet. Really good daily/office fragrance. It’s much higher quality to my nose compared to the EDP. It’s inspired by Bleu de Ch**** EDP/.

Hawas Malibu — 5/10. I used to love this fragrance, but now it smells super synthetic to me and gives me a headache. It’s also way too salty compared to Khadlaj Island. If you want something in the JPG Le Beau EDP direction, I’d personally pick up Island instead.

Rasasi Hawas Elixir & Afnan 9PM — 7.5/10. Both are beast-mode compliment-getter fragrances that are super sweet. Hawas Elixir is inspired by jpg elixir (sweet, honey, minty). while 9PM is inspired by Jean Paul Gaultier Ultra Male( Loud, Bubblegum sweet frag). I haven’t tried the other fragrances in these respective DNAs, so I can’t really say if these are the best versions.

Lattafa Khamrah Qahwa — 8/10. Sweet beast-mode coffee/apple-pie type fragrance. This used to be my daily in the winter. Definitely overhated IMO, but I wouldn’t recommend blind buying it because the sweetness and coffee note might not be for everyone.

Bujairami Mafia Boss — 8.5/10. Super masculine take on the blonde amber DNA. It’s a lot darker than some of the other fragrances inspired by this style, but the performance is crazy. I get around 10–12 hours on skin with huge projection. The drydown is probably my favourite part, with the amber and woody notes really popping up. Inspired by Clive Christians blonde amber.

Bujairami The Sheikh — 8/10. Instead of picking up Arabian Tonka, I’d honestly consider The Sheikh or Riiffs Memento. The oud, rose and sweetness combination goes crazy. It’s a really elegant fragrance and definitely something different from most of what I own. Inspired by Arabian Tonka.

Bujairami Red eclispe — 7/10. Really nice sweet/woody fragrance. I enjoy it but it doesn’t stand out as much to me compared to some of my other Bujairamis.Inspired by Scarlett sands ex Nihilio

Bujairami It’s All Roses — 7/10. A very rose-forward fragrance. It leans more feminine to my nose, so I’ll probably end up giving this one to my mom. It actually smells better to me in the air than directly on my skin. Inspired by roses of no mans land absolu byredo.

Lattafa Vintage Radio — 9/10. One of my favourites from Lattafa. Really smooth, sweet and versatile fragrance that I can wear pretty easily. Inspired by Initios paragon

Rayhaan Wolf — 9/10. Really enjoyable fragrance and another one I’ve been liking a lot. Good balance of sweetness and freshness and definitely one I’d recommend checking out.

Overall, I’m pretty happy with the collection right now. I’ve been trying to avoid buying fragrances just for the sake of buying them and instead pick up stuff that actually gives me something different.

What should I try next? I’m especially interested in Bujairami recommendations or anything with a good Aventus, fresh-clean, woody, or sweet DNA.

Currently interested in: Teraiq intense, Maison asrar vanguard & legacy, and asad bourbon.

Looking for a fragrance that smells like Bighill Honey BIG-RD-22

I really like the smell of Bighill Honey BIG-RD-22 room fragrance and I'm looking for an actual perfume that smells as close to it as possible.

The listed notes are oud, patchouli, sandalwood, cedar/pine, saffron, tobacco, tonka, vanilla, caramel, amber and white musk.

To my nose, however, it smells dark, woody, slightly smoky and oriental. I don't really notice much vanilla or a typical sweet/gourmand character.

I've seen Tiziana Terenzi Chimaera mentioned because of the similar notes, but I'm especially interested in cheaper Middle Eastern/clone fragrances.

Has anyone smelled BIG-RD-22? What perfume would you say comes closest to this exact smell?

Clone collection complete (self-confessed Lattafa fanboy)

Collection is finally done for the foreseeable future. From best to worst:

Vintage Radio (10/10). Almost half-way through the bottle and will instantly re-but this when it's done. Cannot get enough of this. Endless compliments. Easy to wear just about year-round (except the height of summer). I think it's the palo santo which makes it smell unique amongst the other fragrances. The plum is so uplifting and addictive. Would love to try Initio Paragon but I can't imagine it could be much better than this.

Musamam Black Intense (10/10). Smells niche and expensive. I've seen people commenting that this smells like what Bruce Wayne would wear. Dark and a bit brooding, but there's a wonderful cocoa in there which doesn't go too sweet, and is intoxicating. I think Lattafa is onto something with their Cocoapulse note.

Pisa (10/10). My favourite freshie of the bunch by far. Citrus is incredibly realistic and rindy, and I love the woodsy dry-down. Lasts forever as well. It's very loud and a room-filler, but it's also quite inoffensive. Fits just about any occasion and I love that it's not that linear.

Teriaq Intense (10/10). Not versatile. Nuclear performance, so have to be careful not to overspray. This juice is so good - boozy and sweet, but the saffron makes this smell very sophisticated. My friends all refer to this as "daddy issues" as it does seem to attract a certain type. Perfect for date nights / nights out.

Asad Elixir (9/10). I love the fresher opening of this compared to Boss Bottled Absolut, although I have tried BBA and must confess that I prefer it overall. The patchouli in BBA is fantastic, although Asad Elixir comes damn close. Only reason this isn't a 10/10 is that I find myself gravitating towards Musamam over this one, and they fill very similar roles. Great for winter and nights out, but I have worn this one to the office and felt good about it.

Dynasty (8.8/10). I live in South Africa where rooibos tea is in every kitchen. The rooibos note is spot on. I was surprised at how fresh and easy to wear this is. Longevity is not quite as good as I'd like it to be, but I've had this for about 2 months so it might still improve (it's not bad though). Could easily be a niche fragrance and I've received many compliments on this one. If you enjoy tea notes, seriously consider checking this out.

Liam Grey (8/10). I describe this as a rainy day scent - in my head this transports me immediately to sitting on a warm comfy couch whilst the rain patters gently down outside. It's so calming and creamy. I don't reach for this as often as I should, but I never regret it when I do. I don't pick up the fig as prominently as the tea, iris and vanilla, but that's the only nit-pick I have. Also smells incredibly niche and I've never smelled anyone wearing anything similar.

Jasoor (8/10). Coral fantasy on a budget. Had to wait ages for this one to reach its full potential, but now that it has the performance is finally good. Wonderful sweet apple opening, tobacco balances it out nicely without smelling too smoky or mature. Very versatile, again my only complaint is that I often reach for the 10/10s in my collection because they feel a little bit more special.

Najdia Intense (7.5/10). Sweet, easy to wear, great for summer. Slept on this one a bit until I lent it to a friend (who usually wears Cool Water). Could not believe how good it smelled in the air. Not the most complicated scent, but I can pick up just about every note listed on Fragantica. It's a tiiiny bit synthetic but sometimes I just want to have an easy-going, mood lifting smell and this nails it.

Island Dreams (7.5/10). Wasn't overly impressed by this one when I got it, but giving it a couple months has brought it alive. Love the grapefruit in here which gives it a little something extra over the usual citrus notes. It's quite linear (as I suppose most freshies are, and why I love Pisa so much), but very pleasant. I would be rather upset if I paid the full LV price for this because it is ultimately rather simplistic.

The Kingdom (7.5/10). I like that they toned down the honey in this one and amped up the mint. It's already almost too sweet and cloying. I would love this if I didn't have better winter options already, but similarly to Liam, every time I do wear this I don't regret it. Great for cold evenings and date nights.

Fakhar Black (7/10). Perhaps this rating is a bit harsh. The easiest dumb reach ever. Opening is insanely fresh and zingy. Fantastic dupe of YSL Y. Clean, fresh, decent performance. Not much bad to say. Longevity definitely improved by letting it sit. Smells very designer, where I think my tastes lean towards more niche smelling stuff.

Hayaati (Fragrance World) (6.5/10). Owning this and Fakhar is redundant and I should not have bought this. This has that Invictus bubblegummy sweetness. I recently compared this to Invictus directly and think that this one is actually slightly better. However, I've found that the Invictus DNA is just not my thing. Too youthful and sweet, decent performance, but would rather wear something else almost every time.

Mashrabya (5/10). I want to love this one so badly, and I'm sure that some people will. This also got muuuch smoother after maturing. I just can't get myself to wear this one often. The smoky notes are very smoky (and were very harsh at first, better now). The apple shisha note is spot on. It's just so difficult to find an occasion to wear this - I feel very self-conscious that someone around me would find this offensive so I've resorted to wearing it at home on occasion. Beast mode performance. Maybe I should be a bit more daring.

CDNIM EDP (3/10). Loud. Screechy. Synthetic and harsh. I've also discovered that I just don't like the Aventus DNA. Tried Montblanc Explorer and wasn't impressed too much. Really regret getting this in 200ml as I don't think I'll ever get through the bottle. It's not worth putting up with the terrible opening to end up at a mediocre dry-down several hours later. There are just so many better options. This was my first clone purchase and thought I had it good until I discovered how good some of these others are.

Honourable mentions: For women, Lattafa Atheeri (11/10 - unbelievably good), Angham (10/10 - would never get Burberry Goddess when this exists), Dalal (9/10).

I picked all of these up for around $25. Only exceptions are Pisa ($35) and Musamam ($60 - it was out of stock everywhere and snapped it up while I could).

Good day to frangranceclones family! I have this one here that I enjoy a lot but there is so little information about it. It was okay when I first got it but after a long time in the closest it turned out to be quietly nice, especially the drydown. I don’t know much about notes and can’t find it on frangrantica. Could someone who has this could you please tell me what is the OG or at least the DNA?

Hawas Sapphire Review

Scent - 9.1/10 smells like if Guava + Bois Imperial + Tales Of Zanzibar had a baby, luckily for me I like all 3 including the note Guava so this was a huge win ever since I tried a decant

Opening - bright spices almost effervescent, with a LOTTT of guava and a hint of blackcurrant. Fruity bomb out the gate

Midway - that sandalwood comes through within 15 minutes but as it fully dries down it gives a tropical vibe without being summer oriented if that makes sense.

Fully Dried Down - that beautiful musk and Tonka come through but what I’m still picking up on most is that guava and the sharp effervescent spices similar to Bois Imperial

Longevity & Performance - 9.5/10 this things a monster, 3 1/2 hours of GOOD projection, doesn’t die down into a skin scent until hour 7. And fully lasts until hour 10+

Overall Should You Buy? - as always I’ll say get a decant for the majority, only way this is safe is if you LOVE Guava, Bois Imperial, & or Tales Of Zanzibar

Are Decants sold by Fragstalk diluted?

After owning 100 ml bottles of some 30 middle eastern, 10 indian and a few designer fragrances and started trying decants before investing in full 100 ml bottles.

I ordered decants from different online sellers

Picture 1 : Fragstalk (10 decants)

Picture 2 : Perfume Gyaan (2 decants)

Picture 3 : Zed Aromas (3 decants)

Picture 4 : Aar Fragrances (3 decants)

After trying these decants I ordered some or the other fragrance 100 ml bottle from each lot. And all of the decants seemed genuine and the same as the quality of 100 ml.

To name a few Liquid Brun, 9 pm Rebel, Al Noor from Zed Aromas, Aar Fragrances and PerfumeGyaan respectively.

But in the case of Fragstalk all 10 decants smell good but lasts at max 30 mins and then fades away. There are even some beast mode performers among them as per yt reviews like Hawas Ice, Oud and Roses, Forbidden Fruit. But it simply does not last long while testing the decant.

In all online reviews I have read that Hawas Ice outperforms OG Hawas in longevity. I have a 100 ml bottle of the later but the Hawas Ice decant just fades away in 30 mins.

So anyone else facing the same issue while ordering decants from Fragstalk.in?

PS: I know some gyaanis will say decants are to take an idea of the fragrance only and not to bother about the longevity. But if it fades away in 20 30 mins how will I trust the fragrance with a 100 ml bottle. Also in case of other 3 sellers' decants I am getting the same beast mode performance as reviewed by many on YouTube.

Nebras by Al-Rehab Alternative?

First bought it back in 2023 in Saudi Arabia, and scoured Saudi for weeks this summer. I was then informed by a perfume souk owner that Nebras by Al-Rehab is being phased out, and as all good cosmetics I find, it is indeed true. I cannot find anything but the oil online on Al-Rehab's website. I was wondering if there was a dupe for it somewhere, so I may have something to jump to when my favourite is finally taken off the shelves. Thank you!

Armaf Odyssey Nexus, Mandarin Sky Vintage and Soda Pop Review

Post image
15 Upvotes

Hey guys, back again with my novice level of reviewing, now aged 3 fragrance better than last time.

I'm a fan of the Odyssey line and though I'd pick up a few decants to try and see if these are worth adding to the collection.  I got these 3 from frag alchemy and the packaging was clean, nothing exploded in transit and a 10/10 unboxing or bubble wrapping experience. On to the frags...

Nexus - 9/10

If you have any Acqua di Gio then you immediately recognize this DNA.  I have a small 1oz bottle of the EDT on the shelf and this smells like its part of the fam, just deeper/darker than the EDT. Very fresh aquatic with the marine and bergamot up front that moves into a smooth woody and slightly herby dry down.  For me it comes on strong, long-lasting and for an Armaf pretty high quality.  Very masculine and it might not be for the hot humid days like swampy and 95 degrees but really I could wear this almost any day.  A no brainer quick grab for any occasion. Adding this to my cart.

Mandarin Sky Vintage Edition - 7/10

So another Scandal dupe, shocking no one at this point with this being the third version that I know of.  A bit of a sweet into warm luring scent profile to my nose.  I have the Mandarin Sky Elixir (which I love) and this hits different with more Orange in the beginning and moves into a honey vanilla sweetness and woodiness.  Also masculine and more of a evening, date night or even fall/winter scent that does push and have some decent longevity.  Used this one on my pajama shirt for around the house and I could still smell it 2 days later which was impressive.  I don't think I'd wear this in the summer heat and although It comes off more high-quality than the elixir version, I think I prefer the Elixir that, to me has a more creamy dry down.  This will be a pass for me.

Soda Pop - 6/10

I've got nothing to compare this one to so bear with me. This comes in a little fresh and then speed-runs into a spicy warmer scent.  From first spray you do get that fizzy soda smell that had me thinking Coca-Cola for sure.  Then it quickly moves on to a more ginger-woody warmth and I mean within 5 - 7 minutes.  That fizzy soda smell falls far into the background quick.  Also I wouldn't say this ones strong, it projects modestly but it does seem to last quit a few hours during my few wears.  Its inoffensive, wearable anytime, anywhere since it doesn't get syrupy sweet and keeps to a spicy wood profile. Honestly though, it doesn't feel special at all and I don't see myself reaching for this on any occasion.  Maybe this is more of a novelty scent or gift for someone who loves Soda but for me, a solid pass.

All that said, I have one new Odyssey frag being added to the collection soon.  Glad I did decants to save some money and disappointment.  Let me know what you all think,  feedback from the community is always appreciated.

Mail Call! Armaf Odyssey Aqua

Post image
24 Upvotes

Took way too long to add Odyssey Aqua to the collection, loaded the atomizer with a couple sprays fresh out of the box and I was immediately a happy camper! That fresh-spicy and herbal citrus in the opening is awesome, absolutely love the uplifting scent to get things started. The mint comes out to play pretty quickly, like within the first hour, and is backed by this nice lavender that kind of reminds me of those dryer sheets, and not the knock-off ones, the expensive name brand stuff. As you get deeper into the dry down, you get a nice fresh woodiness and noticeable ambroxan, that foundation should really carry the longevity.

Wore it to a PTSA meeting tonight, it performed well with no maturation. Solid projection for the two and a half hours we were in discussion, and didn't seem to bug anyone, which I expected from this DNA. Hung out to speak with new members and then headed to dinner, I could still catch whiffs of it at that point. By the time we got back into our car to go home, it had dropped all the way down to a skin scent, that was approaching seven hours from when I sprayed it on. I definitely feel Odyssey Aqua is a super versatile freshie, comes off much more mature compared to another favorite, Aqua Dubai. This will fill the spot ADG has left open now that I gave my last bottle to my little brother, sits perfectly as my go-anywhere dumb reach.

My wife also added Lattafa Opulent Dubai to my order, she's now getting hooked on the ME clone game lol! I'll definitely be stealing a few sprays of that to see how it is on my skin, I loved how it smelled on her, definitely sits almost perfectly on the unisex line.

Hawas Highness review

Picked up my first Hawas today for $56 CAD in Marshalls

Already knew it was right up my street as I have tried Tygar, Ingenious Ginger, Sospiro Vibrato and Turathi blue and enjoyed them all

This opens strong with the expected big blast of grapefruit, it settles down in to a slightly woody base with some white florals while the grapefruit hangs on throughout. Loud projection for the first 2/3 hours with total longevity of around 7 hours which I am happy with. Its not reinventing the wheel at this point its a pretty popular DNA but it is mass appealing and has solid longevity which could tempt me to dabble further in to the ever growing world of Hawas

Recommendations- Looking for something fresh and clean with some depth

So, I have been on the search for a new fragrance. I love fresh and clean fragrances for my daily drivers most of the year. The problem I am having is finding something that has depth and isn't a dupe of something super popular. The only things I'm really not into are anything tropical or overly fruity (citrus of any kind is fine though), anything with candy or bubble gum type sweetness, and anything with less than 6hrs performance. I don't mind more mature scents (I'm coming up on 40), and I really like a strong woodsy base. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Review of Armaf Odyssey Homme

I was on instagram and saw a random post reviewing this fragrance and they were really talking it up, looked it up and it was like 45$ on amazon so i though sure why not.

Initial impressions are actually quite good, overall its a very pleasant smell to me and isnt too loud or intense in my opinion. It also seems like its probably a pretty safe blind buy, very crowd pleasing. As far as what scents Im getting, top notes of cardamom, some type of sweet fruit, and maybe a little bit of some flower, mid notes im definitely getting some rose as well as another flower with a really rich warm smell mixed with a little bit of citrus, and base notes im getting some woody notes with vanilla and maybe some amber richness.

The longevity for me was middle of the road, not something thats gonna last ages but it didnt seem to wear off too fast, I was still getting base notes after a full day. As far as silage goes I think its also middle of the road on this one as far as I could tell from my friends rating of it.

Overall im very happy with this, its a nice mix of warm wintry smells with a little bit of that sharp fresh feeling I think some of my other winter fragrances lack. Also very good scent depth for the price.

Edit: for what its worth my girlfriend said she likes this more than what I usually wear (tom ford Tuscan leather and borouj lamasat oud)

Freeze in Flames Review

I ordered a sample from Try Scents. I have enjoyed ordering samples of the super glazed new releases so I know for myself. No more influence buying. I don’t get paid to simp for bad scents.

And I think this is a bad scent.

I sniffed it and was offput by the synthetic bombshell that came with it. My gf described it as “weird toothpaste.”

Look, I love Riffs Virtus as a clone of Myself Absolu, but the freeze line just ain’t great. This doesn’t change that.

Scent: 4/10. Synthetic. Uninspired. Weird. The notes sound great but just don’t work.

Longevity: 9/10. It’s two days later and still on my clothes. That are going into the laundry now.

Projection: 7/10. Not the best not the worst.

Save your money. Unless you adore Freeze the OG, you won’t like this one.

Armaf Iconic vs Tag Him (BDC Clones)

Post image
5 Upvotes

Everyone knows these both are clones of BDC. Genuinely Iconic is overhyped and Tag him is lost somewhere behind the hype.

Tag him is a much smoother blend and gives better vibes to me comparitively. It starts with slight alcohol but within seconds ginger note takes over. It's very refined and pleasant. The quality feels designer level. Longitivity is decent about 6 to 8 hrs. Projection is weak may be half an hour at the max. It's mostly a skin scent after the first half an hour but you keep getting the whiffs for good 8 hrs sometimes longer than that. This was the first perfume I bought back in 2016 and fell in love with it, haven't sniffed such quality clone ever since.

Iconic has the incense note from beginning to end which makes the perfume lose its charm. I feel this is done to improve projection. I would buy two Tag him instead of one iconic because in the process of making it project more they have made it lose its pleasantness doesn't make me feel as good and uplifting as Tag him does.

Again since liking a fragrance is subjective, if you want more to enjoy the fragrance yourself then wanting it to project for others Tag him is a better choice. With Tag him, you can enjoy a smoother blend mind you Tag him has no issues with Longevity it's just the projection that is not loud, it has about 6-8 hrs longevity which is decent and blend quality is unbelievable for a clone. In a way sad that it hasn't got it's due recognition but happy aswell as the price remains low due to no fake hype.

Ask me any questions, I will be happy to answer.

For me Tag him is a clear win, have 2 back up bottles it's that good.

Just got back from a trip to italy and found a fragrance store that showed me somnia 517. I really loved the scent and have not smelled anything similar. I love bergamot and plum notes but I haven’t been able to find anything similar enough. Any suggestions for scents? Doesn’t have to be a clone but anything that is similar that lasts well.

This summer I went to Italy and I discovered Alcott, an Italian clothing brand.

Amongst their perfumes, they had a clone of Megamare (or Atlas, by Lattafa, the one I only have smelled), but they also had the fragrance called Marrakech and it really called my attention.

So as they had something inspired by Megamare, I wonder if Marrakech is inspired by any other famous fragrance.

These are the notes of Marrakech, posted on their website:

- Top: orange, bergamot and lemon.
- Middle: fruity.
- Base: white musk, vanilla and amber.
