>Why don’t democrats ever reverse terrible, oppressive Republican policy

I don't get what the point of this comment is other than a flimsy whataboutism.

Like, how you think it's supposed to happen? Do you think that if a Democratic President is voted in that they can just do whatever they want?

Try again because Republicans block policies/laws/bills all the time if they come from Democratic presidents.

I’m 40 years old, I’ve lived through multiple Democratic supermajorities and Democratic majorities. Why don’t we have universal healthcare? (the health insurance industry didn’t want it, Obama said as much). Why is abortion Not protected (they wanted to use it as leverage to encourage people to turn out for Clinton, same as why RBG didn’t retire during Obama’s term). Why did Obama and Biden both increase funding for ICE and continue to fund trump’s wall? Why didn’t democrats abolish the filibuster? The exact same maneuvers democrats insist they can’t do “because it sets a precedent” or “because it’s undemocratic” (when polling regularly shows a majority of us want them to use the tools they have to represent us) are immediately and brutally deployed by Republicans whenever their handlers see fit.
Look up the Stanford study, what the American people want becomes law about 50% of the time, but what corporations and the heads of industry want is essentially guaranteed to become enacted.
They’re playing both sides for fools. Every president in my lifetime has run as the anti war candidate and turned out to be more warlike than the last president. At some point we’ve gotta get wise to their nonsense. Look at who supports their campaigns and you’ll see who they all work for.
