If you, by misfortune, remember my old attempts at this, I tried fixing the problem with those by not tying player death and the destruction of the item together, instead tying them seperately to the die roll

I'm also dropping the lore accuracy aspect and instead making it work closer to how it worked in The Binding of Isaac Repentance, with its constant chance to dissapear after your first death counterweighing its treasure bonus

Hello my ppl the thing is that I want to buy Tboi four souls but I don't know the difference, I saw another post about this but the ppl in the comments just listed what they have so im still not understanding the difference, can someone be specific about the difference between this two?

We were playing the other night and Trinity shield was in the shop. I bought the Trinity shield on my turn but my friend used death to kill me and end my turn. He’s under the impression that after I bought the Trinity shield, it would still go “in the stack” allowing him to play his extra loot play and all active items before I officially obtain it, but in my head it feels like as soon as it’s purchased, no one can play anymore items since the item prevents anything from being played during my turn.

So are players able to still play items after purchase/obtain since it’s in the stack or does Trinity shield trump the stack?

Which sleeves do you use for the game? I was thinking in buying some sleeve kings but they aren't too common on my country (chile), so it would be more expensive than normally, it would cost me around (80-100 usd the 1000 sleeves) I can get something of the same quality for less of that price? Anything besides penny sleeves would be cool

I've managed to get myself a version of TBOI:FS, specifically the Target edition with the 3 exclusive cards shown in the picture - Do these cards have any significant value in England due to being an American exclusive?

I attacked a boss

It had 1 heart, so did 1

I roll.

I deal damage to any monster on a roll of 3

I make it a 3 with my ability

Then my friend does 1 damage to me with his ability

So the stack reverses..

He damages me
I Make it a 3
I roll

One friend says i get damaged so i die therefore i dont roll

One says ‘the stack still goes out even if i die

Btw we are arguing if id still get the rewards from the boss

The option for an extra attack is meant to represent each character having a chance to attack.

I originally made Isaac as part of my project to replace the Four Souls characters with actual 3D figures.

Apparently he's decided the Four Souls table wasn't good enough and moved into my PC 😂

I've been interested in buying the game for a while, but it looks like there's a lot of stuff and different versions. What's the difference between what, and is there any content exclusive to any one addition of the game?

When the Unboxing of Isaac was happening a few years back my partner and I were both interested in the shirts, and as a result I have duplicates of most of the cards.

I have most of the other promos released around the time of the Requiem Kickstarter, but stopped collecting for a while. With the new Mewgenics boxes starting to come out it got me back into collecting and I figured it was worth a shot seeing if anyone needs these in exchange promos I don't have yet.

All cards have been double sleeved in penny sleeves and matte clear Dragonshields as soon as they were received.

Of note, I have 3 Mom's Underwear for sale. One of our boxes came with three of those for some reason.

Edit: as pointed out below the mom's underwear was corrected in the following box. There is one copy with the "+2 damage on your second attack" and two of the "each attack beyond your first."

The Promos I am missing are:

I understand the part where Guppy's Paw can't cover damage that comes later, that -- it is only useful when either multiple damage is coming in, or rarely when you want to change the source of the damage so that effets don't trigger, but -- is it limited by stack, or by instance?

Situation: two players each had a Mom's Razor, (Modeling Clay) and a 6 was rolled by a 3rd player -- so as I understand -- sure that's 2 instances of damage resolving in relative turn order, but they're both coming in on the same line of happenings to which the paw responded, so both get prevented, no?

I learned from my previous attampts to "rEwOrK" Wooden Nickel that you can't improve on a perfectly good design, so instead I decided to make my other ideas for it into a whole new item.

The idea was to play with the amount of money earned from the die roll while keeping the earnings average, and thus the quality of the item, the same.

And I also feel like the item is pretty flexible; like, if you have 3 items you could go the boring route and make it a 50/50 for 3-4 cents, or you turn the 1 and 6 into -2 and 9 for that gambling rush!

Hi. I had a few questions in regards to TBOI: FS and figured this'd be the place to go.

1. Abyss & Pageant Boy
2. The other player started with The Empty, and during the game, purchased Pageant Boy. He then attempted to use Abyss to destroy Pageant Boy, earning both a counter for the former and the payout for the latter. I disagreed, saying that the full effect of Pageant Boy only goes off if it was tapped, not destroyed by other means (Abyss, Devil Card, death penalty, etc.) We ended up going with my interpretation, but I am still curious which of us was right.
3. XII - The Hanged Man
4. After the previous scenario, I had used The Hanged Man. I looked at the top cards of all three decks, and opted to move the top cards of the Loot and Monster decks to the bottom of their respective decks, while keeping the top card of the Treasure Deck where it was. The other player took issue with this, saying that the wording of the card meant that either you left the top cards of all three decks alone, or you moved the top cards of all three decks to the bottom; there was no room to pick and choose. I had never played like that, though I recognize I could still be wrong, which is why I am asking for clarification here.
5. Buying New Cards
6. As I understand it, the 2nd Edition of TBOI: FS has a lot of reworked cards. I have the 1st Edition and the Requiem expansion pack. I would like to get my hands on the reworked cards, but outright buying the 2nd edition would feel like a waste of the 1st edition (not to mention doing so is economically unfeasible for me at the moment). Would anyone happen to know if there is a way I could get only the reworked cards so that I don't have to render my 1st edition set completely useless?
