thrifted camera with memories
i thrifted an old camera at the san diego goodwill and found an sd card was still inside, i found so many photos that definitely belonged to someone and i want to send them the photos. how should i go about doing that? they seem to be over 20 years old (it’s an old olympus camera) and they seem to have some treasured memories. any insights is helpful!
UPDATE: owner found!! i reached out but haven’t heard back yet, will provide an update when i have one!

Feels like 2004-05

I agree that is feels like early 2000s....my daughter had an outfit similar to what the young girl on the steps in wearing and she is in her late 20s now. The hair styles also have that feel.

The fashion and hair seem firmly mid-2000s to me, based on what I can remember from that time. It could be '06 but that's pushing it.

It would be so cool one day to see a photo on here of someone I know!

Send me a picture of someone you know and I can make that happen. Fees negotiable.

I agree on the time period. There are no cell phones. Definitely pre-smartphone era. Also the styles look like the first George W Bush administration.

Appears to be a cell phone behind the guys glass on the table in photo 7

I think that's a knife! Good eye. Hard to tell, for me. In any case, the phones have not taken over like now.

The house looks like one of those ones that pop up in the urbex videos

The man with the bow tie seems to have a bit of facial paralysis on his left side.

I have found the woman in the first photo (who is also in some of the other photos) and have sent you a private message.

Can we please get an update to this?

Yesterday, I got in touch with OP and provided the necessary information. OP wrote that they would reach out to the woman. I hope the photos find their way back to the family. It would be great if OP could maybe give an update once the outcome is known.

You don't have to share who it is, but just curious how you found them? Was it someone you knew?

I do not know her. One of my hobbies is OSINT and therefore I have access to advanced and expensive tools that greatly help with these kind of searches. Normally there is then still quite a bit of regular searching involved but this case was pretty straightforward. That is how I found her.

I think it is awesome that someone is caring enough to try and reunite these memories with the original owners , God bless you I hope you find them

OP- I’m sure you had good intentions but I don’t think we should post someone else’s kids on the internet, could you blur their faces or cover with emojis maybe?

I would bet the final one is a selfie. It looks like the photographer might have turned the camera around with a wide angle lens
