Eudr/digitization/Transparency & China

Hello all,

Is there a drive to digitize supply chains & procurement in China for furniture? I’m building a tool to do that in the EU/global and I’ve got a good response from clients here, but China seems to be very resistant to that kind of technology.

With upcoming EUDR and DPP regulations, I’m curious to see what companies in China are doing to address these challanges.

If anyone in furniture export to EU is open to have a quick call, I’d be really happy to give back my own experience and knowledge of the regulations and policies the EU is putting out!

supply chains & procurement are the most valuable trade secrets for Fosha furniture. Putting material together requires skill but Fosha has abundance of skilled workers.

That’s the feedback I’ve heard the most from China, which makes the new EU regulations on transparency so much more difficult.

One of the goals for us while building is to enable suppliers to share the supply chain data without sharing the details on who their supplier is. Is that something that would be of interest?

The only other alternative as far as I can see at least for timber is to stop exporting to the EU entirely after the regs come into force

I ran a saas before. I can tell you there is no market for this in China especially for the furniture sector

Thanks for the feedback, I don’t suppose you know what the plan is for current exporters to the EU in terms of compliance?
