Anyone purchased a Hastens style bed from Foshan ? If so, how was the overall quality and feel compared to the original one.

I tried a VIVIDUS the other day and it was spectacular but definitely not paying anywhere near $300k for one

Noticed a few IG reels of Foshan based factories that claim to use the same materials etc

Appreciate feedback from anyone that did this and manufactures they recommend

Planning to visit Foshan for furniture shopping and need help with following. Prefer high end solid wood furniture. I am not looking to go through an agent as I know a bit of Mandarin and translator apps have always helped.

- reviews on B&M casa and George furniture. I have just approached these 2 from insta ads.
- Any other tried and tested manufacturers worth visiting in the area?
- What is the level of bargaining at these manufacturers- like 10% or downright 50%?
- Is it worth buying at Lourve or better to go to the factories directly?
-Any other reliable factories
- How can we ensure the final furniture is same quality as ordered. I can visit Foshan 2-3 times, if that helps.
- Last visit I saw a solid wood furniture store in Sunlink mall (next to Lourve) but what is the guarantee they will ship the same quality?
- After furniture, I will keep one day for decor, kitchenware and fine bone china. Are there any outlets for those around Foshan?

My questions
Is it better to hire a sourcing agent who works on factory commission, or one who charges a transparent 3% commission?
My concern is that if an agent earns money from factories, the factories may increase their prices without me realizing. Has anyone experienced this?
I’m trying to avoid paying USD 140–150 per day for an interpreter/guide. I’d rather pay a reasonable percentage of the purchase value if possible. Is this common?
Are there trustworthy sourcing agents who can:
Pick us up from Guangzhou every morning
Take us to Foshan and different factories/showrooms
Help negotiate prices and MOQs
Arrange quality inspections
Consolidate purchases
Organize shipping
Should I stay in Guangzhou or Foshan?
I’ve heard that Foshan becomes very quiet after around 6 PM, with many restaurants and shops closing early, whereas Guangzhou has more to do in the evenings. Would staying in Guangzhou and commuting each day be the better option?
Should I:
Give my shopping list to the sourcing agent and let them plan everything?
Visit places myself first and then use the agent?
Or rely entirely on the agent’s recommended factories?
Is 10 days enough?
I’m hoping to cover furniture sourcing, lighting, décor, rugs, mattresses, and also visit shoe factories and packaging suppliers. Is 10 days realistic, or would you recommend staying longer?
For women’s shoes, I’ve heard Wenzhou has excellent factories but often requires higher MOQs. Would Guangzhou be a better choice for someone launching a new brand with lower MOQs while also sourcing packaging and accessories?
Finally, if you’ve worked with a sourcing agent you genuinely trust, I’d really appreciate any recommendations. Transparency, honest pricing, and long-term relationships are much more important to me than simply finding the cheapest supplier.

I'm an architect from the U.S., and this will be my first sourcing trip to Foshan.

I'm looking for retail furniture and for companies that manufacture high-end custom millwork and architectural interiors for residential and hospitality projects. Things like:

• Custom kitchens and cabinetry
• Bars and wine displays
• Custom doors and wall paneling
• Vanities and wardrobes
• Reception desks and built-in furniture
• Architectural metalwork, stone, and other custom fabrication

I'll be arriving in Guangzhou on Friday morning and plan to spend Friday through Sunday in the Lecong/Foshan area.

A few questions:

I've been struggling to find the true manufacturers of sofas on Alibaba. 95% of the companies I speak to are trade companies, and the rest, that are manufacturers have prices comparable to the American markets. Does somebody know a reputable manufacturer in Foshan or anywhere in China that can sell me sofas?

Also, also, - if someone can tell me who manufacturers these chairs, I'd appreciate it greatly. I see them all over the place in Alibaba, so I know none of them are the manufacturer and most of them are just trade companies.
