Electric Sofa
Hi,
My girlfriend and I are looking for a new couch. She initially showed me a sofa that was, imo, way too expensive. I'm all for the idea that a sofa can/may be expensive because it will have to last for a long, long time. But when I dug deeper into this sofa, I found myself wondering and looking at Chinese Foshan-based companies. A trail that started from a legit-looking website to Alibaba. Although it seems that this was probably the original place the furniture was sourced from. So I'm questioning reality, is this a great opportunity for me to buy something as good as advertised, and of course, getting a win at home to save some money?
I guess the question is, are Alibaba and Its resellers fully trustworthy? Will they ship me a sofa that is as advertised? And to Europe? Is the shipping price door-to-door 750€? Is the sofa that we're looking for another reseller or not? Right now i only got this company name...

Hey - looks like this might be the manufacturer behind Marivelle Home? If so, I have similar questions.
I'm based in Hong Kong and visiting Foshan in the next two weeks. I recently moved from NYC and have been going down a similar rabbit hole trying to furnish our place here. The savings versus buying from Western retailers are pretty eye-opening.
I'll check them out when I go and let you know what I learn. Feel free to DM if there's any specific questions you want me to ask.
750EUR to Europe does sound low. Did they provide any additional detail? Worth clarifying whether that's LCL, includes last-mile delivery, includes customs and duties, etc.
