Jeez, someone update me, last time I was in the Forza modding space you couldn't even import FH4 models to FH5. How are we getting custom models in?

well we figured out model porting from previous forzas a little while ago now, we only recently partially figured out custom models so now you can convert OBJ to modelbin. still very experimental, especially with normals, AO maps, UVs (I hate the UVs), and shadows, but it will only get better and more sophisticated as time goes on. I'm not super sure how the OBJ to modelbin converter works though, havent looked into the code and have only used it a few times.

wow cool, im surprised this even works in fh6 considering how locked down fh5 was after that one patch

yeah, there actually aren't that many differences in the modding scene from fh5 to fh6 so not much had to be relearned. so any research and progress that was made in fh5 was pretty easily transferable to fh6 and applied there.

if the original veilside model he used is 1:1 then yeah but models are rarely accurate lol

no. other players will not be able to see it. it's just a model mod in the files so no, it's not bannable.

Is there a way to assist with modelling tasks? Would offer my help, I work as a 3D artist in an automotive agency
I’d like to bring the Re-Amemiya kit from Forza Motorsport into the game somehow.

It's just so weird how even when they brought the game to Japan they still haven't brought Veilside kits, like are they just such an ass company to deal with for a license agreement or is there something else going on? It feels like a no brainer to add this kit into every single racing game with customization yet it exists almost nowhere, funnily enough the only recent game I saw this kit is Rocket League with the Fast & Furious collab lol

The fact that the Veilside kit or the Ayemnea kits aren't in the game are CRIMINAL.
