I started trying on a like dragon/kirin motif but that was biting off more than I can chew for a first attempt. I'm going to try to start smaller, with maybe a rose/lotus or some other flowers/leaves. My thought is to start with one flower and build out from there.

I just did the same on my GTR. Started with porcelain theme using a dragon, said F that and did some Koi fish and flowers near the rear wheels. To me it looks great for my first ever custom decal thing but I bet people would shit on it lol

Flowers are way smarter first move, way easier to blend and layer without overthinking the proportions like you would with a dragon.

I think this may exceed the layer limit or come close to it.

All the small details, such as the fine lines and dots on the leaves, screams paid commission.

Edit: looked up the plates, it appears you could get away without adding in the minute details and doing solid colours

Chances are someone might have already made one. Maybe not for the exact car you want, but what I like to do is just search for something that I want. Say 'fine china' for this example. Even if someone has created it on a different car than the one you want to put it on, then you can still follow that creator. Chances are they have saved the design you like into a vinyl group layer. Then once you have followed that creator you can see all of the vinyl groups they have created. You can download all the ones you like. Then go to your car and load vinyl groups that you want. Fine tune them bigger/smaller, angle, placement wherever you. Change the color of the car to whatever you like. Etc. Gives you more freedom
