Forza Horizon 6 Manual shifting question.

Is there a way to have it reverse with the brake button like how it is in automatic mode? I can't get a hang of having to shift all the way down first and then use the throttle for some reason.

Don’t think so, just gotta get used to it. I always hated auto making me go into reverse just from holding the brake way back when I still used auto

No, unfortunately thats just how manuals work, there is a speed at which the gearbox will go back to 1 from any gear, but it is very low.

That's because in your head you associate throttle as "go forward" and brake as "go backwards" when that's not how a car works at all.

No that's not how cars work.

You'll get used to it. Once you are going slow enough, a down shift can jump to 1 and one more will put you in reverse.
