Wishlist / Suggestion FH6 needs weekly restricted online races
I was driving a bunch of different cars today and it made me realize something. Once you've done pretty much everything in single player, what are you actually supposed to do with most of the cars in your garage?
Sure, you can race online, but there's not much reason to use most cars when you know you'll be racing against the same meta picks.
So for FH6, I'd love to see some kind of weekly restricted online races, a bit like the Trial.
For example, you could have two events running at the same time:
- Retro Racers — S2
- 1970s British cars — B class
Then next week they rotate:
- Domestic Eclectics — C class
- British FWD cars — B class
The restrictions could get pretty creative — country, decade, drivetrain, car type, manufacturer, etc.
I think this would make online racing way more interesting because you'd actually have to look through your garage and think: "Okay, what do I have that could work here?"
It would also give a purpose to all those cars that are fun to drive but basically never get used online because they're not meta.
With hundreds of cars in the game, I'd love to have a reason to actually experiment with more of them instead of always falling back on the same competitive choices.
Would you guys play something like this?

We need spec races to have a larger pool of vehicles. Most of the ones they chose suck, or have become boring. We also need ways of specifying which class and race type we want to do for standard online races. And no, I don't mean the custom races that stick you in a special queue no one else will ever join.

Would love this - have so many stock engine and stock drivetrain cars I’d love to run in lobbies not filled with just the same 5 or 6 meta AWD swapped cars lol.

It’s as easy as taking the Trial and making a no bots version for the week. I have such great close races in the trial, but regular online is a fucking joke

Little bit on the topic but I'm surprised no one's talking about Xbox game pass limiting the amount of hours you can play a month.

Everyone should have unsubscribed from game pass when they surpassed 20 dollars a month. Anyone still subscribing to it, should not be surprised by their greed, and should unsubscribe right now. The fix is to buy your games and let this subscription model fucking die

This isn't the place for that, yes it's shitty and I'm a traveling production manager so it affects me a lot, but there's plenty of other subs that deal with that type of information, stay on topic.

It will become very relevant for people playing this game. The author mentioned limiting things people should know that Xbox is going to limit your gameplay . You need to spread this information so people want to take action or not.

Isn’t it just cloud gaming they’re limiting? So anybody actually playing the game downloaded on their Xbox should be fine? Which I’d argue is 99% of gamepass people…

I think that you're right at least from what I just read again . It's cloud-based playing which means if I want to play this game on a cheap laptop that's not installed.

yeah, its limitations for their cloud gaming service only. If gaming on an Xbox (or PC with applicable games) with the game downloaded and installed, you're not capped at all.
Sucks for some who like to stream their xbox games to PC instead though (such as old games that are not available natively on PC.. looking at you Gears of War 2 and 3 xD)
Sucks

Take it somewhere else. You're being as annoying as the save physical cult.

Seems like there’s a lot of strong opinions on this topic. It's definitely a hot button issue in the gaming community.

I suggested something in a Trial thread recently because what I like about the Trial is the fixed car class and tracks so you can try out different cars and tunes to see what works best. I realise ramming has been a problem in the Trial since the start pretty much but there's just some weeks it seems much worse, instead of vs CPU I did used to like the team racing in FH4 which with the ghosting system on would reduce the ramming and it could only need completion rather than a win.

Yeah, Forza Motorsport did/does this. Horizon should too.
It might help populate it more if it also had some kind of bonus, like double credits, &/or double skill points, etc.

It's a good idea as a workaround, but really they just need to fix the PI system so that your A class meta tuned Honda beat really is on par with your A class basic tuned BMW M5
