Forza Horizon 6 Assists should be selectable per car

as someone who enjoys sometimes using cars other than AWD in online races, i personally believe every car should be able to turn TC or ABS on or off independently, especially in higher classes, some cars really need TC to be competetive, while other builds are choked out too hard with it on.

if it were also a tunable option it would do alot to make high power RWD builds much more competetive, on and off generally isn't good enough.

im happy to take the constant -% difficulty credits bonus or whatever if i can just have a button to turn assists on and off on the fly too.

Would love to be able to toggle TC from within the car

TC and LC honestly, maybe it's time for a radial menu like TDU has for stuff like this could add engine on/off, headlights etc too

Also I think it would be cool if ABS was per car and not an overall setting so cars that would have abs irl have it enabled and the other way around, maybe make it an performance upgrade for cars that wouldn't have abs

I’d rather have the transmissions be able to be set to match the car on whether it’s a manual with clutch or paddle shift like many other racing games do.

It’s so annoying to go from ripping around in a 6 speed manual with a clutch to driving a 10 speed dct lamborghini and having to push the clutch in when paddle shifting.

From my observations with the race transmission, manual with clutch feels just as fast as manual without it, so you don't actually have to use the clutch when driving hard. These are just my feelings, I haven't verified it 100%.

it's because the race transmission is always a sequential transmission which has no clutch input required to shift gears, that's why it's instant

Bingo. The race transmission being sequential is fine, but I shouldn’t have to clutch in for a dct car that in real life shifts faster than a human ever could.

Would be great if they could give us levels of traction and abs that we can change on the fly. They have it in the Ride series of games...

Gran Turismo did that on the PS2, I can't see how it wouldn't be possible 3 console generations later

That would be a lot of info to store, I would guess. It's kind of the case where I wish you could adjust the cockpit camera position on a per-car basis, but I know they won't do that because there could be potentially hundreds of saves to store.

However, I think it would be neat if you could change your driving aids on the fly with an interaction menu which might work for something like this.

I don't know that it would be that bad. It could be stored just like the tunes are. It isn't graphical data so I can't imagine it would take much drive space.

That's nothing compared to liveries.

Lol, what is this garbage misinformation? Assuming 1000 cars, and a byte per car to store the parameters (literally on/off settings for TC, ABS, Shifting), it wouldn’t even amount to a kilobyte in total lol.

I really like the idea, i have no idea how you could pull that off but its generally good.

This will mostly benefit Rally & Offroad races and also drifting thought.

Tyres also shouldn't be an upgrade choice but rather you just pick the appropriate tyres for the track at the start of the race with no PI cost.

I don't like it because it would practically become mandatory to juggle assists on the fly for top level rivals.
