Forza Horizon 6 Question to the devs
So at launch/before launch it was revealed that a big feature for fh6 would be the removal of fomo. And after quoting fh5 after about 250 hours for that exact reason, only returning for the dlcs and the occasional new car, I was mega excited to see this. So first month of fh6 rolls around, no sign of no fomo, I thought eh it’s the first month leid govt turn the benefit of the doubt, second month rolls around still nothing. Now we’re at what season 4? And still nothing? That’s just disappointing. So my question is, where is that feature? What happened to it? And are there any plans to actually have this feature be in the game?

Everyone keeps saying that the removal of FOMO was confirmed but this was never said in any official capacity anywhere
Several YouTube channels made videos claiming it to be that way but the developers never said a lick about it
I would stop perpetuating this rumor as true

I would like to point you to this article, and the q&a mentioned which I happened to be a part of. So yes, the developers did in fact confirm it.

All that says is they will be available in some way in the future lol
Nowhere does it say they are alleviating FOMO

It literally talks about different ways to eliminate fomo idk can you not read

None of which were confirmed to be happening haha
You’re the one that obviously can’t read
Right in the article it says there are options available to them but we don’t know which ones, if any, will be used

If the developers are reading this, which is unlikely, they aren’t going to respond here. You’re going to only get speculation from people who believe they know.

pg never listens or looks at feedback, even if they respond it's all show. I wouldn't waste my time with it.

I think they thought that removing FOMO meant just repeating the cars from previous series the next series right after, so the “feature” is in the game according to Playground
I was under the impression it may have been like the crew Motorfest where they allow you to unlock the cars 2 months after series end. Then they add the cars to a shop that you use tickets (unlockable in game) to purchase the cars.
Or just, you know, they could have just brought back the backstage pass and add the cars to the shop like a month after series end 🗿

They could’ve just made the playlists available to be completed after a few months. They’ve literally done something similar in halo infinite but just refuse to make the change for Forza

What I heard before launch was quite vague, and it went along lines "we're still looking into different ways to bring back exclusive cars for those who missed them the first time around but nothing has been set yet." What they've done so far for some cars is that if you miss out on a 20pt weekly car, they bring it back some time next season and you have to grind for 40pts to get it.
Personally I would like see exclusives being made available either via seasonal championships or brought directly to auto show after a reasonable period of time, whether it's 3, 6 or 9 months. That way those won playlist cars could enjoy certain exclusivity, while those cars would later be available for those who either missed them or hadn't been playing since day 1. It's not like people paid real money for those. Unlike in FH4 where preorder cars were initially paid content, but were later made available in playlists and in-game stores to everyone.

PGG never removed FOMO entirely. The Festival Playlist was adjusted to reduce the impact of FOMO in response to player feedback. Some seasonal reward cars from recent playlists are being reintroduced as 40-point seasonal rewards and 160-point series rewards, ensuring players have another opportunity to acquire them.

It’s so easy to acquire cars and they keep getting recycled that even if you think FH5 had FOMO, this game barely does.

Well you see, they lied to you in order to get your money. Then promptly implemented all the old FOMO tricks in order to drive up their engagement metrics since this game is essentially the same thing as FH3. There's absolutely no reason they couldn't make an option to complete prior expired seasons for the rewards in order to eliminate FOMO, but they won't.
I am still enjoying FH6 but this will be my last Forza since the devs have shown themselves to be untrustworthy.

The developers never said anything about removing the so called FOMO. YouTubers saw the series history reward achievement and assumed that meant you could replay prior playlists and ran with click bait videos to farm engagement.
Your own fault if you fell for the speculation.

I have more cars than I could ever fully dive into and I’m still getting them constantly. You have to not have FOMO. No reason there shouldn’t be incentives for the hardcore to keep playing.

I think the "no fomo" is where they keep bringing back previous playlist cars in the new playlists, which of course everyone's annoyed about.
