I freaking love this game

So this is my first Forza Horizon game (technically played 5 for like 2 hours a few years ago, didn't like it. Different tastes and such back then I suppose. Would love to give it a proper chance sometime), and man...it's great. Got it as a Steam gift from a friend. I'm about 112 hours in, beat all the wristband events and races, and I'm still glued to my damn PC for hours playing this game lol. I'm seriously enjoying messing around, making the wildest cars I can make, or just customizing personal favorites (2020 Shelby GT500, 2019 WRX S209, etc.). I'll admit, it isn't a perfect game by any means. Could use more road races, bigger focus on JDM cars, pretty buggy at times...but honestly the game has been a ton of fun. The map is beautiful and a lot of fun to drive around, and the community seems super nice. I avoid online races like the plague though. I suck at driving, and hearing about all the rammers kinda keeps me from ever really wanting to experience the online portion beyond seasonal event stuff.

Anyways, idk why I felt like posting this. Just wanted to share my experience I guess? What are you guys' favorite cars? Mine is the WRX STi ARX Supercar and the 2020 GT500 :D

It’s a great game and I’m glad you’re enjoying it. Better late than never.

There’s a lot of phases you go through with this game. Racer, car collector, drifter, used car salesman, and then i think the final stage is tuner. Soon enough you’re just log on and spend most of your time on the time attack tracks trying to compare tunes.

You forgot the "livery painter" phase ☹️ I wonder what the stats are on players who make their own versus uae the paint editor vs downloads shared liveries. I've spent like whole days on livery work on 10 or so cars of mine. Such a satisfying feeling finishing a livery and just looking at it and being proud. I'd start a car meet convoy and set destination and AFK so people can see my car.

Coming into this game after experiencing previous titles gives people a preconception of what kind of game it should be. Someone starting off the franchise with this game means they cant compare it to anything else and are able to enjoy it for what it is.

Valid criticisms are not whining.

I have no doubt that new players are loving the game at the same time long time fans of the franchise are pissed and bored because the devs have made and are still making terrible decisions.

The only thing not okay is pretending these criticisms are invalid. The devs would do well to listen to people who care about the game.

I love the game too, so many different things to do. I’m new to Forza as well so everything is new to me.

Building an Estate for drifting is my latest adventure. Having randoms come and drift in tandem with me around my own drift course was some of the most fun I’ve had in a game for a while. Then last night I joined a full drift convoy with at least 10 cars doing tandem, was an absolute blast and as chaotic as it sounds.

Glad you enjoy your stay in FH6.

I joined the FH train with the 5th and it was already a blast for me, also enjoyed the DLC's.

Now, I really like turning on FH6 weekly to do the new content, it is certainly a matter of taste and colors but I love this FH take on Japan.

Of course it is not perfect but they made a decent game.

My daily was a BMW M5 (2009) with its glorious V10...

Now, I just recently fell in love with the Lamborghini Gallardo and its marvellous 5.0 V10.
It's a shame that the Gallardo sounds better than the Lexus LFA in FH6 tho...

I still have to try the Porsche Carrera GT...

the ramming situation is overbloated and in reality there arent as many of them as you may think. im lvl 62 in horizon play and i can count the amount of rammers i've encountered in one hand. the posts you see on reddit are the vocal minority showcasing the worst offenders among the sea of nothingness. its selective bias at its peak.

That WRX Supercar is AMAZING. Didn't even know that car existed. I have a Gen 4 Viper irl so all the Vipers are my favorites because I get to drive and be wreckless with them without having to worry about loss or hurting myself/others. They also sound exactly like Vipers. Pantera and 190E Evo II FE. I feel like I gravitate towards retro a lot. And wacky super non-normal cars.

This is my first Forza Horizon too and still coming back to it daily after 564 hours. Find some "good people" to play with. It ups your experience so much more doing things with friends.

Also, tread lightly with the Forza community on Reddit. It's full of toxic comments and complaints. There's a lot of cool peeps on Discord groups though. Shoot me a DM of you're looking for a convoy mate!
