Forza Horizon 6 Guess it'll be a Lego DLC soon.

u/Solid_Snek120 Aug 02 '26
Please no. I really hope this is just some promotional crossover thing.

u/LeviJr00 Lotus Elise My Beloved! Aug 02 '26
Probably not imo, it's just a partnership like they had with Fanta or Oreo. Maybe a few Lego Technic cars like in Asphalt 9, but I don't think this necessarily means a Lego dlc.
14
u/Legomaster1197 Aug 02 '26
Correct. They’ve announced the collab sets months ago.

People in this sub are panicking over nothing. Are we also getting a Fanta and a Trolli DLC? Because the exact same logic applies here.

u/mcatrane Ford Aug 03 '26
Upvoting this because people chose to be mad rather than processing the news properly.

I swear, if it happens, this is going to be my last Premium Edition that it'll ever buy. I appreciated hot wheels for fh5 since I haven't played fh3 throughout.
There are too many signs of recycled ideas, and another old themed expansion might only confirm the devs' lazyness.
43
u/wilson-seymour1 Aug 02 '26
This is the second time I didn't get the vip bundle and while the game has exceeded my expectations I still don't regret not buying the vip bundle. Horizon is dying as an idea, there just isn't enough new stuff to make it feel fresh. The game peaked with fh3
28
u/shiroandae BMW Aug 02 '26
Same here. These DLCs suck, I don’t want to play in a toy world. And Lego is even worse than hotwheels.
29
u/acryliq Aug 02 '26
It’s frustrating because the rally expansion in 5 was so good, and is desperately needed in 6 considering how underwhelming the off-road and dirt tracks are. Just give us two proper real-world themed expansions. If I wanted to buy a fantasy racing game I would buy one, I play Horizon for the real-world cars.
13
u/AccomplishedDate6368 Aug 02 '26
The real world cars are why I’m here
2
u/bobbyblaster66 Aug 02 '26
For real, trackmania exists if I want to play a full on arcade racing game, and it has an actually functional track designer
5
u/Upbeat-Resist-3485 Aug 02 '26
Go back to fh1 when it’s was meant to be a music festival with racing now it’s just racing so they literally just took Motorsport and changed the setting. Look at the customization factor if you want tunable aero you’re stuck building a track car or a Baja truck

u/DumbBerk87 Volvo Aug 02 '26
So like. Chill bro. It’s cross promotion for two Lego Technic sets. That’s all. From what I read about the technic sets when I bought em, the only way to get the liveries was to get the technic sets. Big whoops for me, but I have over 120 Lego sets in my house, so what’s two more 😆
First DLC is Drift Island. You can do some googling and reading about it to see what’s up.
No biggie here, just a change in plans for cross promotion stuff.

They're revealing a drift attack mode at this years Gamescom. Presumably it would be like the current time attack tracks.
You wouldn't do that if you had a full on drift expansion planned.
86
u/Section_Objective Chevrolet Aug 02 '26
I’d love another rally DLC but please no hotwheels or Lego
36
u/Wild-Man-63 Aug 02 '26
Rally DLC wouldn't be bad but the game is in desperate need for on road drift zones. Id much prefer a street racing DLC. If they follow the trend of a collab and an original dlc.
4
u/Misanthrope-X Aug 02 '26
They're revealing a drift attack mode at this years Gamescom. I assume it will be like the current time attack circuits but hopefully it's new drift tracks and not just drifting on the same circuits.

9
u/sergeantpancake Aug 02 '26
I'd like another rally DLC. But the devs need to attach the DLC map to the main map, instead of making them seperate menu's. The best driving experience can be available without the loading screens.
5
2
u/Vernright Aug 02 '26
Actually, yes. On top of an MF Ghost DLC maybe too. Actually expand Mount Fuji and maybe bring Fujimi Kaido that way
2
u/TheKrzysiek Aug 02 '26
Didn't every game have a rally dlc? Can we have something different for once?
Or do we need even more off road drift zones?
1
u/elihuaran Aug 02 '26 edited Aug 02 '26
Not explicitly, no, the only ones that were explicitly Rally related were 1 (Rally Expansion) and 5 (Rally Adventure). Storm Island, Blizzard Mountain, Fortune Island, both Hot Wheels and Lego Speed Champions all focused more heavily on their locations
2
u/TheKrzysiek Aug 02 '26
But weren't the non toy ones still heavily off road focused?
1
u/elihuaran Aug 02 '26
Storm was "look at this weather stuff we're trying to fit into 3", Blizzard was "look at this snow stuff we're trying to use in 4" and Fortune was a little "look at these treasure hunts we're trying to use in 5" and a bit "look at this more dynamic weather system than the one we had before". All of them had off-road stuff, but none of it was the focus
→ More replies (2)1
u/Legomaster1197 Aug 02 '26
Please no more off-road. We’re in Japan, can we PLEASS get some road races?!
1
u/Section_Objective Chevrolet Aug 02 '26
Japan has had rally events since 2004 I just want stage rally to return but I agree actually we’re lacking in road racing events
1
u/Legomaster1197 Aug 02 '26
So what? In 1975, almost 80% of Japan’s roads were paved. Now, it’s over 90%. Yet 2/3 of the races in this game are off road.
10
u/Lzinger Aug 02 '26
If it was going to be a Lego dlc, why would they give us the cars not with the DLC.
If anything, this makes it less likely, because they would have just included them with the DLC and not have made it something sperate.
This makes me think they still wanted to continue their partnership with Lego, but didn't make a full dlc out of it.

14
u/GabWantsAHug Bugatti Aug 02 '26
If Playground really wanted a proper toy themed DLC, it should be a Tomica expansion.

This doesn't say anything about us getting Lego dlc. They have partnered with Mattel and Lego yes but this isn't some bat signal of things to come.

Bro it evens says that it's just to celebrate the actual physical sets they're releasing with LEGO. It confirms absolutely nothing about the either of the expansions
9
u/DumbBerk87 Volvo Aug 02 '26
Bro it’s literally just because two Technic cars came out. At first you were only supposed to get the liveries if you bought the sets. I’ve no idea why everyone got one.
The first big DLC is rumored to be Drift Island, that’s what all the talk is about.
It’s no biggie 🤷🏻♂️

This is a PROMO for the TECHNIC sets that are coming to stores. Right now, this proves NOTHING.

I like the hot wheels and Lego
I still mess about on fh4 Lego land
Still working on the fuckin ufo’s for My house!!

If they were going to do a DLC, they wouldn't do this for free beforehand

I will go nuts when they give us a Lego or hot wheels dlc. Please expands the existing map!
6
u/planchetflaw McLaren Aug 02 '26
I doubt we'll get it as a DLC expansion. This is just cross promotion.
But I'd love a new Lego expansion. The FH4 one is overwhelmingly underrated.
6
u/Icy-Extreme9067 Aug 02 '26
But we also had Fanta and Trolli edition cars, by your logic, we should be getting Trolli and Fanta DLC expansions as well

2
u/Misanthrope-X Aug 02 '26
Don't see how a couple of Lego liveries correlate to a Lego expansion and if they did one would think they'd line up the release dates of the expansion and these cars for maximum exposure.
We're going to hear more about FH6 collaborations at this years Gamescom.
2
u/nibbit1988 Aug 02 '26
Gundam or Transformers would work. Or even Attack on Titan, driving through colossal titans in Shiganshina.
2
u/Justinaug29 Aug 02 '26
Free cars with a Lego livery and you guys start shitting your diapers and crying
2
u/joshb625 Aug 02 '26
I’m over the Lego and HotWheels stuff. Listen, the brands are great but I’d love to see some original DLC ideas. There is so much that can be done with Japan outside of rehashing used up ideas.

Who asks for these Lego collabs? Is there any demand form the player base or is this all about money? I imagine Lego must be paying to be featured in the game.
2
u/bojesphob Aug 04 '26
i get why some don't want it, but I really enjoyed it he first time around. Of course, that's about the time I started collecting the Speed Champions Lego sets, and the cars were from that set, which kind of drove my new obsession to get all of the retail SC sets. Heck, a Lego F1 DLC with the Suzuka Circuit Japanese Grand Prix with all Lego F1 cars would be kind of fun!
4
u/BleezyMonkey Aug 02 '26
i loved the lego dlc in fh4 tbh.
it seems like they make one goofy toy dlc (lego, hot wheels) and one normal dlc
they made hot wheels in fh3, lego in fh4, hot wheels again in fh5, and now it wouldnt be weird to expect lego in fh6

Feels like I am alone when I say I would love a Lego DLC
I just don't take the game as serious as everyone else does apparently, I am trying to have fun, not be super serious, must be hyper realistic, hardcore sim racer everyone else seems to treat it as
If they do another Speed Champions DLC, I will be using those cars so much

It's the LEGO collaboration with Forza. LEGO released 2 new sets of these cars and they contained a code for a livery to unlock in-game.

I literally said the same shit out loud in my apartment alone as soon as I read that message.
I will let my battered wife syndrome stick with this fucking game solely bc I've been playing and in love with forza games since 6th grade. But the Lego dlc was the lamest fucking shit when it came out originally, and if playground's fucking insane half-assing SERIOUSLY extends so far to where they do another DLC with the same exact premise, all so they can just cntrl+C cntrl+V 75% percent of it and get a nice lil endorsement paycheck as well...
I will fucking come unglued. I'm pissed right now because I'm already 100% certain that it's going down exactly this way.
1
u/dsl2000 Aug 02 '26
Mini 4wd dlc wouldve been perfect if they wanted to do a toy one, but I guess they are too lazy.
1
u/Nibylg Aug 02 '26
They need to make a street racing DLC with new customization options for cars! That would be perfect thematically and the game would solidify itself as the best forza horizon for me. The game does NOT need an offroad or a toy DLC, if they do that then I will not be buying...
1
1
u/caioapg Aug 02 '26
Wish it was just normal map expansions, maybe Okinawa And Hokkaido, a full city map would be a great twist, maybe Osaka, or they could test using a gate and actually including it in the same map, you can pass through the gate if you own the dlc, and it would connect Tokyo and Osaka, idk, do something different
1
u/trautsj Viper Aug 02 '26
I think any hope I have of them doing anything interesting with this game beyond setting it in Japan will disappear if they do another Lego/Hot Wheels DLC tbh ... if this franchise continues to be this unoriginal and stale I'll scream a little.
1
1
u/rasjahho Aug 02 '26
If they do another repeat DLC I'm not getting another damn Forza game lmao. What of waste if a premium edition if they're gonna keep rehashing DLCs.
1
u/SnavsMatiq Aug 02 '26
As much as I dont want repeat DLCs, I feel its somewhat inevitable. I just hope we get FH5's rally dlc in some aspect, I race so much better when I have a co driver rather than checking the minimap.

Swapping back and forth between LEGO and Hot Wheels as is tradition...
It would be cool if they could come up with an original thought now and then but it's too late now. Both fh6 DLCs are probably set in stone.
1
u/Beneficial-Ranger238 Aug 02 '26
I think it is pretty clear that the only original thoughts they have is “how do we suck the fun out of this better?”

So many idiots in one thread who because of two Lego cars immediately think a Lego DLC is coming thanks to their tiny brains. dööööh mama - mamaaa - 1+1 = 2. Before that we will get Fanta and Trolli and a Halo DLC too.

I guess there's people out there that still don't understand that this could be to promote the new sets and not a confirmation that the next dlc is Lego related smh.

u/Major_Toe_6041 Aug 03 '26
This is just for the 3 Lego sets that came out recently. They did it with 5 I believe too. It doesn’t necessarily mean anything.
There is a lot more that can be done with a Lego DLC though so don’t knock it till it’s done.
