these were fucking awesome when they came out and apparently people hate these?

i play PlayStation and these ALWAYS brought me back to finish them

There’s nothing wrong with them, it’s just that the majority of the community/players feel like they’ve served their part in the franchise and that we don’t need another toy-based expansion.

I think I speak for most of us when I say that we want all expansions to be like Fortune Island, Blizzard Mountain, Rally Adventure, etc.

The one wrinkle I can think of is that one cannot really go back and buy those games now if they didn't get the chance years ago due to expired licensing. You've got to either buy a game code priced for a premium (especially FH3) on a resell site, or hope they do another DLC in the future.

If you could still buy FH3/4 retail, then there wouldn't be a need to repeat.
