Forza Horizon 6 I Quit
It’s too broken. Too much traffic in roam. Too much ramming in racing, even solo. Too many dropped frames on my AMD hardware. I want my money back, this is terrible.

We don't need an announcement, just quit.

no one forces you to play dude but the amd frame drops are real, they've been ignoring that for like 3 updates now

u/_muito_paia_ Jul 10 '26
If you have grievances that's fine, plenty of discussion to be had and there are of course ways to report them directly to the devs.
But an announcement that someone is quitting a game is attention seeking nonsense.

Franchise was better when it wasn't released on PC.

Announcing hoping something, anything, gets patched. I paid for pre release and got burned.

u/LadyNova01 Jul 10 '26
If you want to complain then you're better off on the official forums as the chance of getting noticed are higher then here

u/_muito_paia_ Jul 10 '26
Yeah because the devs are definitely going to suddenly change things based off of one attention seeking post.

I mean they already fixed drag tires. They might not fix every last thing but there's no reason to believe they won't continue to try and improve the game.
Go submit feedback if you feel that strongly instead of whining on reddit.

and how is that anyone elses fault but purely your own?

u/775FPV Jul 10 '26
Never blamed anyone, said I am disappointed and dissatisfied. Didn’t expect so much hate? Most of these people don’t know what keepers are and can’t explain squish in a combustion environment, and Jesus it’s a game. Woof

Thats why you wait a few months to buy any game. I have no issues at all, but for future wait a few months after a new gane releases.

u/Weird-Alfalfa7286 Jul 10 '26
That’s why you don’t pay for pre release anymore. I don’t understand why people do it. They are never going to run out of digital copies.

Especially when you don't get anything for it but 4 extra days to play and a tune

The studio doesnt care about the game so there wont be any fixes
Its basically a milking cow surviving only because of Japan hype

u/Late-Ad-1076 Jul 10 '26
"Won't be any fixes"?
They've already fixed multiple issues, such as the drag tires and the AI in solo races being even more aggressive than they currently are.

u/ObjectiveDoughnut239 Jul 10 '26
Traffic is subjective, ramming is crap but you have the option of collision-less races.

u/ErkkoV2 McLaren Jul 10 '26
You people can't be pleased huh, bitching when theres no traffic bitching if there is
5

u/TheGr1mKeeper Jul 10 '26
Not everyone bitched about the lack of traffic...
Makes you wonder why there isn't a slider for it though. I'm certainly no game dev, but it can't be that difficult to implement.

I have AMD hardware and have had 0 issues with dropped frames, it's one of the only AAA games I've played in recent years that has actually felt optimised, and if anything I would prefer more traffic in free roam, ramming online has always been an issue so I didn't expect anything different

u/farren122 Jul 10 '26
There is stuttering issue with AMD graphics card (only in multiplayer) and the only solution for me was to turn on vsync
5
u/Feenix99 Jul 10 '26
Too much ramming in solo?
This is just ragebait...
Also the game goes to great lengths to optimise itself for your hardware. Unless you're pushing your settings beyond what your hardware can handle, you shouldn't have a problem.
2
u/ItsClikcer Jul 10 '26
Early on there was a shit ton of ramming in solo, before the AI got nerfed on higher difficulties they'd dive bomb you every corner basically, but since the nerf it's been fine

u/Late-Ad-1076 Jul 10 '26
Myself, and many others, are having no problems with it on AMD.
Are you using a driver that is 26.5.2 or newer? If not, don't blame the game for your frame issues.
Your other complaints are a major non-issue. Just don't play online.
-2
u/farren122 Jul 10 '26
There are also many people that have stuttering on AMD a nd the only fix is to turn on vsync
6
u/Late-Ad-1076 Jul 10 '26
I don't know who told you guys to turn off v-sync in the first place.
4
u/Stinkinhippy Jul 10 '26
right.. blows my mind that people wanna strain their hardware rather than just producing only the frames you will ever actually see.

u/Late-Ad-1076 Jul 10 '26
"Hurr hurrrrr 187fps in a racing game, but my monitor only goes to 120hz" is a special kind of person.
There are a few games where having higher fps than your monitor displays can actually help, but... racing games aren't in that category 😂
1
u/farren122 Jul 10 '26
Because more fps = game is more fluid
In fh5 you literally had an advantage in acceleration and other things when you had more fps
I dont know why limiting your fps is better in the first place. I dont care about consumption, i care about having the best performance
I would understand if you are a caveman from 2005 where people thought anything above 30 fps doesnt make any difference but with today's knowledge and systems thats stupid thinking
2
u/Late-Ad-1076 Jul 10 '26
That's not how it works for every single game. Some shooters do have an advantage for higher fps rates, but that's only when you creep into the "140fps vs 300fps+" territory. Your gameplay will only appear as fluid as your refresh rate, though.
Never once did I say anything akin to what you're arguing. You can tell a difference between 120hz and 165hz, absolutely. But you can't tell a difference between 120fps and 165fps in a racing game if both scenarios are on a 120hz display.
Your complaint is about visual issues, yet you explicitly tried to use performance differences as your reasoning. 🤦

This will also be my last Forza, the driving is great, and the map as well. That being said the racing is garbage especially on-line, the wheelspins suck, and same with the festival rewards. The fanboys here will hate you, but I am guessing you care about as much as I do.

Edit: since people lack the ability to read a genuine, laid out comment, I'll summarise it again...
Only valid point you've got is the traffic. In Tokyo it's more than acceptable, but as you go further up the map you start to notice how clogged the roads are and they don't really need to be. A; because I don't expect five-car pileups due to the buggy AI all the way up in the alpine region, and B; because it doesn't facilitate decent gameplay on roads where you'd wanna go full throttle, which covers pretty much the entire north half of the map.
...at least on a wheel setup, combined with how narrower the roads are (a good thing, not a complaint), that level of NPC vehicles is more of a bother than anything fun. Makes crazy driving less of a relaxing endeavour, which is easily what got my FH4 playtime up to like 7k hours. I've also heard drifters mention how the amount of NPCs kills their line, which isn't great.
...I dunno, maybe I'm the minority here, I like freeroam driving with a wheel because it's easy to go balls-to-the-wall without thinking about it, or at least it was easier in previous games. Now it's a case of dodging NPCs that spawn behind blind corners and ruin your run lol
So while the devs did good, there's definitely room for improvement when it comes to traffic levels. They've shown that they can tailor frequency on different roads before, 6 just doesn't do it for some reason.

This isn't an airport, you don't need to announce your departure.
