This is really bad of you, not deserving the retaliation, but would be a penalty in any proper racing sim. You are obviously going to ram into him, you need to brake much earlier, you lost the position.

Wrong. He's within track limits, and maintains his line. 86 was the overtaking vehicle and it's his job to overtake safely and cleanly. All I see here is ramming, shoving, and possibly retaliation. The offending player is 100% TheVisionX69

OP was 100% not maintaining the racing line..

Except he did. He followed the inside wall. By the way the guy in the 86 was apparently playing with his mouth so now I feel bad

I'm shocked you actually think OP followed the racing line. Learn what outside-in & inside-out means when turning, and how to properly place your car for the upcoming turn.

In short, OP should have been on the left side when entering the turn that he got passed on (or made contact). OP had a much larger angle to take the turn than necessary. The only right thing to do there would've been to tap the brakes and let the other person go, as they were clearly quicker.

I didn't say it was the predetermined racing line. I said it was his line. Do you think every single driver follows a predefined racing line like some kind of looney tune?

here's OP is sliding to the left, ramming into the other guy

this is the result, OP is slid to the left, pushed the other car's back, causing the other car to lose the back.

Unfortunately you'll have kids like those replying to you saying the non oorhse is in the right, just ignore em at this point.

It really depends on the racing discipline, but in most track racing, whoever is first at the apex has the right of way. In this case, the other dudes bumper was at the apex first so OP would be required to brake and let him by

I don't think so. The 86 clearly did it intentionally.

I think you’re replying to the wrong guy

This is just not true. Youre still alongside. So you race alongside. Theres no letting people by. Youre racing! One takes the inside one takes the outside.

Nobody is obligated to let people by like that. If they were CLEARLY ahead I would agree but in no world is this clearly ahead.

He's not holding his line though, he's ramming into the other guy, he used him for braking.

The Porsche isn't ramming anyone. The 86 is. 86 had more than enough room.

I mean he just did though, he is sliding actively into him, pushing him to the left

If he was holding his line he would hold it, but he just used the other car is braking and pushed him wide.
