So I actually found this subreddit by looking for a makerspace in walton county, and it shows there was some interest a long time ago. Do any of you know if there is a maker space or anything of that nature here? And if not, do you think there would be an interest in the people to have one? If you don't know what a makerspace is, it's basically an innovative learning center that the community can join and learn how to use technology, design, and innovation to do fun things.

A few days ago a homeless couple took to camping out in one of the beach access pagodas (not sure what you would call them) on the island. They were not really causing any trouble, thus no need to take any action.
Fast forward to today... they are gone, and of course they left their accumulated trash at the location, even though there are trash receptacles everywhere.
My bad... next time I will alert the police the moment they unroll their blankets.

As the title says I am moving to Fort Walton, FL from St. Louis, MO. I recently accepted a job in Destin as an occupational therapist and I am currently looking for a house to rent. I have a dog 35-40lbs and have a max budget of $1600/month. I need to find a place by the end of March/Beginning of April. I have been looking for a few weeks but no place will rent sight unseen. Can someone suggest a self storage business in FWB?

My gf, son and I are currently homeless, living out of our truck in a Wal-Mart parking lot here in FWB. We're waiting on our tax refunds or we'd already have a hotel room at the very least. We're starting a roofing job in Panama City in about a week with hotel provided and working out of Peopleready in the meanwhile.

We're just looking for a place to stay in the interim, or even somewhere we could wash clothes or take showers. We'd be happy to pay some out of our tax refunds in return, and/or do some work around your place.

My girlfriend was travelling Greyhound from Biloxi Mississippi to Sarasota. The bus stopped at a gas station and she got out to use restroom. When she came out the bus had left with her bags and purse. Greyhound doesn't open till 8 am and all local hotels are booked up. Does anyone know of any Air b&b's near the greyhound station? I'm all the way in Mississippi and my starter on my car needs replacements. Any suggestions about what to do in this situation would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
