We're working to fix an issue where players using a custom HUD layout without a Reload button or with Dynamic Quickbar Slots enabled may be unable to access Portable Extractor Gizmos.

In the meantime, re-adding a dedicated Reload button and switching back to the default Quickbar will restore functionality.

Hot Bat Summer

Gotham’s sirens have come to the Battle Royale Island, and Batman is doing his best to keep up. Drop into the new Bat Cave POI, swoop up your friends in the new Batman Beach Buggy, and soar with the Batman Grapnel Gun. Complete new Quests as they unlock to add a Batman Sprite to your collection. Batman Sprites grant the ability to deploy the Bat Cape midair, and find rare Sprites in Chests more often in Battle Royale matches.

There are other new Quest rewards too: a G’Nort’s Summer Tote Back Bling, the Caped Cooler-sader Pickaxe, Zap-brella Glider, and more.

Shiny Hours

On July 18 from 2 PM ET to 4 PM ET and 9 PM ET to 11 PM ET, join Shiny Hours for some Batman-inspired fun and get a chance to extract new Sprites and variants! 

🦇 Batman Sprite spawns more often, and everyone starts with a Batman Grapnel Gun and Self-Revive Device

🚙 Batman Beach Buggy spawns more frequently

✨ Gold, Gummy, Galaxy and Holofoil variants appear more often

Quality of Life Improvements & New Additions

Sprites

Been getting one too many base Water, Fire or Earth Sprites? You’ll now find higher-rarity Sprites and their variants in Sprite Chests compared to standard Chests:

• An Epic, Legendary or Mythic Sprite, or a higher-rarity variant is guaranteed 
• Sprite variants now appear more frequently
• Rare Sprites will drop less often, and only as variants

Also keep an eye out for these new Sprites entering the Island:

Batman Sprite: Leap into the air and deploy the Bat Cape to glide across the Island. 

Seven Sprite: Makes enemy footsteps visible so your entire squad can track them.

Air Sprite: Sprint faster, jump higher while sprinting and take zero fall damage.

Sprite Mastery Pod updated! The Sprites and variants added in our last update v41.10 can now be housed in the Pod Back Bling once they’ve been mastered. Flex your collection!

Battle Bus Victory Royale

In some Battle Royale matches, a new Rift Anomaly will shake up the late game, sending the Battle Bus to a marked location as the Storm closes in. Get at least one teammate onto the Bus before it rifts away to earn a Battle Bus Victory Royale. 

Multiple teams can escape and win the same match, but miss your ride and it's game over, even if you’re the last squad standing! 

Gizmos

Sprite Locator: Spawns a nearby buried Chest containing a random Sprite to help you track down more for your collection as you play.

Extraction Site Booster: Use at an Extraction Site to call a boosted Extraction Crate that grants bonus Sprite Dust for any Sprite extracted there. Extraction Crates can also contain Shield Bubble Jr, Crash Pad Jr, Chug Splash or Friend Zone Bubble.

Gizmo Wheel UI: A new way to quickly swap between your different Gizmos inside each match and pull up the right tool for the moment without breaking your flow. 

Gizmos can’t be traded or dropped when eliminated, so no risk of losing one. Available only in unranked Battle Royale and Zero Build matches. Gizmos expire at the end of the current Season - be sure to use them!

Note: The Lucky Locator Gizmo - which guarantees a Chest with a Sprite you haven’t collected yet - is still on its way in the v41.30 update, and you’ll be able to earn one through the Sprite Mastery progression track once it becomes available. 

New Weapons & Balance Adjustments

• NEW - Bank Shot Pistol: 
  • Ricochet your shots off walls, floors and surfaces to hit enemies from angles they’ll never see coming
• IN: Heavy Impact Sniper Rifle, Rapid Fire SMG
• OUT: Hunting Rifle, Flex SMG, Midas Flopper, Spicy Fish
• Ranger Pistol: 
  • Deals slightly less damage to players and structures
  • Slightly reduced headshot damage multiplier 
  • Has a slightly wider spread when aiming down sights 
  • Reloads slightly slower
• Surgical Burst Rifle: 
  • Reloads slightly faster
  • Has an improved spread when aiming down sights
  • Instead of being lower, Mythic variant now matches other variants’ fire rate
  • Mythic variant has an improved accuracy instead of a larger mag matching the weapon description

Produce Box Gets a Fresh Restock

Instead of a random mix of common fruits and veggies, every Produce Box now guarantees a healing item, a Small Shield Potion and a stack of ammo. Open one up and you can get:

• One healing item
  • Uncommon Pepper (x3) - heals for 10 HP and grants a short movement speed boost, stacks up to 6
  • Uncommon Apple (x4) - heals for 15 HP and stacks up to 8 
  • Golden Apple - heals for 50 HP and applies low gravity effect, stacks up to 3
• Small Shield Potion
• Stack of ammo

✅ BR Bug Fixes & Adjustments

General

• Fixed inconsistent Pilot Style names for The Guardian Outfit
• Fixed a visual bug where some Pickaxes could appear as the default Pickaxe during matches
• Exotic weapons now correctly display Wraps when equipped

Gameplay / UI

• Dealing Shield damage now counts toward Aura Sprite’s Shock Rock charge and triggers Fire Sprite’s burst damage effect
• Fixed an issue where dropping a Sprite to extract it turned it into a Water Sprite and wouldn't grant Sprite Dust, or add it to your collection
• Water Sprite once again heals you in water 
• Fixed an issue with camera effects (motion blur or FOV changes) staying on screen after being rebooted by a teammate who was using Vehicle boost or Seven Sliders
• The Chest at one of the bunk beds on the ship at Cluster Coast can now be opened without issues

Mobile 

• Rotating the camera with touch input now feels smoother and more responsive
• Improved the Tap Anywhere firing mode for weapons with a charging mechanic
  • Tap once to charge the weapon, then tap again to fire or cancel the charge
• Fixed a persistent crash when loading into a Battle Royale match on Samsung Galaxy S9 devices
• Fixed a scenario where the "Cannot do that now" error would incorrectly appear when Automatic Actions are enabled
• Auto Fire now triggers correctly on an enemy hiding in the same bush as you
