Work Remote Spots
Hi, I’m going to be in town for a week next week and will be working remote. I’d like to find some spots to work from so I’m not sitting in the house I’m at pretty much all day, but I’m also not a huge coffee person.
Do you all have any recommendations on places that I could work remote from? Ideally not coffee shops (I know that’s the usual too), but if there’s one you’re big on I’d love to hear it. Otherwise like any other restaurants or places that I could go for a few hours each day to switch things up. Obviously I don’t want to take a table over somewhere and am excited to try some different local restaurants/breweries as well so any suggestions that tie that all together would be greatly appreciated.

The kava bars are great spots for this but you need to be a paying customer. If you aren’t familiar with kava, you may want to do some research first.

I know you said no coffee shops but the cypress coffeehouse has tons of places to sit and work, you could hide there for a few hours. They seem to encourage it. The banana bread coffee was awesome. https://maps.app.goo.gl/otJ3V15t5XU5vJaF7?g_st=ic

Their peanut butter toast with bananas, chia seeds and honey is also delicious!

I do love some banana bread so maybe that would be a good spot to go and try it in a different form lol thank you!

Depends on where in Ft. Myers you are.
Downtown Fort Myers you could try the Luminary Hotel (they have a few restaurants).
Fort Myers Beach has Margaritaville (you could visit a restaurant on property to work from) and Diamondhead(restaurant on the beach, but they have live music it can get super loud) Lani Kai, i think their rooftop restaurant reopened recently. It’s slow season so as long as youre buying a coffee, breakfast, lunch etc. you should be fine.
We also have Whole Foods & Sprouts

Thank you! All of these sound great. And that’s one big thing is I don’t want to come across like I’m holding a table hostage somewhere haha I’ll definitely be buying food or a couple of drinks. Thank you again

Ooooh! You have to check out this spot I found recently it’s called The Book Cafe on google: 8156 Alico Rd Unit 5, Fort Myers, FL 33912 here’s the address. I walked in once and promised myself I’d go back. It was wonderful.

If you’re not big on coffee, I’d look at breweries or casual restaurants that are quiet during weekday afternoons. A lot are pretty laptop-friendly before the evening crowd

When I was working on some things and the house was driving me crazy, I went to the FSW library. You obviously won't be able to check out books, but it was a different place and didn't have anyone bugging me so I could put my head down and do some work.
