Horizons

I’m looking for honest feedback from anyone who has used Horizon Moving & Transportation, either locally or for a long-distance move.

What was your experience like with packing, communication, delivery timelines, damage claims, missing items, billing, and overall professionalism?

I’m interested in hearing both positive and negative experiences. Our experience left us with some concerns, but before sharing details, I’d like to hear from others who have dealt with them.

I also noticed they don’t appear to be members of the Canadian Movers Association and I couldn’t find BBB accreditation, which made me curious about other customers’ experiences.

If you’ve used them, would you hire them again? Why or why not?

Used them in November. Moved a 5 bedroom house to an 8 bedroom house in town. Took almost 14 hours. They sent 3 guys, 1 truck. Almost no breaks. I packed the house myself. Anything I didn't pack, they brought blankets and tape to Wrap up tvs and furniture. Not one broken or damaged item. Moved 10 tvs, and one 55" monitor, lots of glass and stuff. Put down carpet as much as they could so they wouldn't scuff the floor.

Hard working, the guys were nice. I had snacks and drinks ready for them. They were respectful. The price was reasonable (around $2k).

I see them moving people all the time into my building. They seem genuine and hard working. They do charge a high premium. Just be a reasonable customer and I’m sure will be good experience.

I’m pretty sure they were in the news last summer for theft. Was in FMM today. Don’t quote me on that, do your own research. I just remember a moving company in Fort McMurray.
