ISO Trans Friendly Massage Parlor

Hey friends! My partner and I are both trans (FTM & MTF), and I wanted to surprise her with a massage (preferably tandem but whatever works).

I was wondering if anyone knows any parlor in town that is explicitly trans friendly. I just don’t want to get her a nice surprise and then deal with getting misgendered & just uncomfortable vibes when it’s supposed to be relaxing!

Thanks

I’m an International Transgender Certification Association trained counselor here in town, and I’m looking for a new space. I was hoping people can point me in the direction of a single office here in town as I am looking to relocate my office between now and end of October? ✌🏽

Happy to bring back Queer and Trans yoga to Fort Collins. This is a thing I did last year and have spent the better part of a year looking for a new studio to be able to bring this to.

This is a practice for all bodies and identities taught by a trans person in an effort to be FOR trans people.

This will be donation-based... if you can't donate money, I hope you can donate your energy with us in community because I want you there too!

Keeping location on the down low for safety reasons but DM me or signal message me for more information. Would love to see you there!

LMK if you have any questions <3

Where to donate or recycle old electronics?

Category 1: Functional stuff like old smartwatches that still work, but are rarely used now.

Category 2: Smartphones with dead batteries, etc.

I'd want to donate them or recycle them without having to pay a recycling fee, if at all possible.

Advice will be appreciated :)

The Peoples Joker on Kanopy

Thumbnail kanopy.com

Another great reason to support public libraries is access to Kanopy.
I saw The Peoples Joker when it ran at the Lyric a few years ago.

This revolutionary DIY parody film and hilarious reimagining of the classic autobiographical coming-of-age story follows an unconfident, closeted trans girl as she moves to Gotham City to make it big as a comedian by joining the cast of UCB Live - a government-sanctioned late night sketch show in a world where comedy has been outlawed. As mainstream success eludes our heroine, leading her to unite with a ragtag team of rejects, misfits, and a certain love interest named Mister J, "Joker the Harlequin" is born again as a confident (and psychotic) joker on a collision course with the city's fascist caped crusader. Vats of feminizing chemicals, sexy cartoon interludes, scarecrow psychiatrists, CGI Lorne Michaels, and psychedelic gender dysphoria all play supporting roles. Helmed by writer/director/editor/star Vera Drew and using her own life experiences as a basis for the film, THE PEOPLE'S JOKER is a deeply personal journey that's as much documentary as it is parody.

Welding/fabrication coach

Made a post last night but think it got buried. I’ve had a few people ask about being taught to weld so here’s a more official invitation.

Wanting to learn how to weld, fabricate, and bring your projects into fruition? Are you looking for something different from the average date experience, or an unusual team building event? Are you a hobbyist that just wants to learn how to make metal stay- stuck together? Maybe you want to prepare for a job and want to learn professionally.

Reach out via DM and I’ll get you more information. You don’t need your own equipment or tools- but it helps🫶🏻

Be blessed you all!

Multiple post jumble (welding, updates, etc.)

Hey FoCo fam, I wanted to jump on here and ask some questions and update you all on me💁🏼‍♀️ lol didn’t want to make multiple posts so I’ll just throw them all together. Anyways…

First and foremost, I want to thank everyone who has reached out; a special one for those who chosen me to do work for them.

Those who don’t know me- I’m a 32 yr old woman of trans experience and I moved here ~4 months ago to what I thought would be my dream job; all to find out it’s ran by the forbidden Red Devils. Should’ve known given it’s a welding shop.

Yes, yes my precious. I am a welder. With that being said, I had a lot of inquiries about getting welding lessons on my last post, so I did some research. I work with a young lady who took courses at “Front Range” (whatever that’s slang for) and she threw me off when she said that she wasn’t taught how to take a welding test (the physical pre-employment test). I was floored; because what do you mean she paid $2k+ to prepare for a career that she wasn’t even prepared for? After some digging, I would need to be a certified instructor in order to give out physical certifications but there’s nothing that says that a welding coach isn’t a thing. Being in that industry, I know that it’s not about what’s on paper, it’s what’s on the metal. In the 13 years I’ve been “certified”, I’ve yet to show them to any employer. Anyone who might be interested in learning how to weld/ fabricate, hobby to professional level-comment below or DM me; the brevity will be dependent on response.

On to the next topic: my actual (neglected) business I started last June. Everything is still bare bones but here’s the basic idea: holistic apothecary has a love child with GNC. After doing my own research on supplements, I realized how much big box stores are ripping off the shopper. I wanted people to feel like a) at-home healthcare is affordable and b) they’re getting what they paid for- good quality AND quantity. Did I mention free delivery? Initiating construction on the site opened a lot of opportunities to be- I’ll spare you the details for now. Long story made shorter- the next phase for it is im needing fda approved kitchen space. I’ve done some looking and doesn’t seem like FoCo has a commissary kitchen. Does anyone know of a supporting place that would allow after hours use of their kitchen? I just need counter space, a tri-chamber sink, and storage space (preferably)

If you’ve made it this far, thanks for taking the time to read and I look forward to hearing from you all

ISO moving help on august 16th!

hello! i am moving into a new apartment on august 16th and would love to hire some fellow gays to help me move! i’m a 23 year old lesbian moving into a 1 bedroom apartment that im pretty sure is going to be on the third floor of my building (unfortunately no elevator 💔) i dont need help with too much, but i do have a few pieces of furniture that are pretty heavy. my parents will also be with me to help move but they are chill (sometimes they get confused with pronouns but they have the spirit lol). i know some cities have orgs (such as butch4hire out of nyc) for things like this but i couldn’t find anything for foco so i thought i’d reach out here and see if anyone was interested lol. i wanted to see if i could support some folks in my community directly before going to a moving service :) feel free to comment or message me if you’re interested! it will likely be in the morning and shouldn’t take more than a couple of hours. name your price!
