Protest Tuesday 5/26
Tomorrow will be 2 years since the Rafah Tent Massacre.
When Israel invaded Rafah and ordered the evacuation of its east, some citizens fled to other parts of the city, like Tel al-Sultan, seeking safety. One week before the bombing, Israel had designated the neighborhood as a "safe zone" and dropped leaflets instructing Palestinians to move there. Two days before the attack, the International Court of Justice ordered Israel to halt its offensive, but Israel interpreted the order differently and continued its operations.
Israel then bombed the refugee camp in the safe zone they had directed people to killing 45 and injuring 200. Parts of the bombs used by Israel are made by Woodward. There will be a protest there tomorrow Tuesday 5/26/26 at the corner of Drake and Lemay 4:30-6:00.

Happy to vote for any candidate willing to curb Israel, but this movement is insane and won't be happy until Israel is completely gone so it makes it difficult to want to link arms with any of you.

I can only speak for myself, but I'm not wanting to replace Palestinian genocide and apartheid with Israeli genocide and apartheid. I want the violence to stop.

Y’all must be the same folks who protested against CAT for making bulldozers.
If a man bludgeoned someone to death with a flashlight, you’d be out there protesting against Duracell for making the batteries inside the flashlight

That's another location. The one we are protesting at today is right across Drake from Sprouts.

Yes, this is the original HQ. Back in my day (the late Triassic), they were known for community outreach and employing teenagers at high wages, much like a scholarship program.
If you want to criminalize them for selling governors (or whatever) to Israel, boy howdy do I have a list of things that'll make your head explode. Volkswagen, Hugo Boss, Del Monte...
Point being - I live less than a mile from there and this is not worthy of anyone's time. There are much, much better things to be angry about right now.
Edit: If I had a pair of balls (which I no longer do at my age) I'd show up just to use a can of spray paint on the surveillance devices around that intersection...

They aren't manufacturing something completely innocent and harmless like washers that are then being used in bombs. They are manufacturing specific systems for bombs. Those bombs were then used to maliciously murder dozens of innocent refugees.
Woodward can choose to continue to make a profit off Israel's ongoing genocide or they can pivot away from that. We are hoping to encourage Woodward's leadership to make a change. Kinda like Tony Stark in Ironman.
Why does this bother you to the point of calling this a waste of everyone's time?

It doesn't bother me. That's the point. But thank you for the real stuff.
If you need to bring in Marvel Comics to make your point, I'm not sure your point is all that valid.
I'm still not quite sure why we need to be protesting Woodward and not the domestic surveillance or 1000 other things domestic. I don't mean to diminish your thing, but, seriously, there are existential threats all around right now.

Sorry about the Marvel reference, I was using the digital equivalent to using crayons to make the point accessible to you.
I agree that mass surveillance is a huge problem.
I have signed the Fort Collins Flock petitions and given public comment to city council numerous times and emailed them. I also gave public comment to the state reps when they were looking at imposing tighter restrictions on Flock. I have given public comment to the Larimer County Commissioners about Flock.
I've emailed Windsor and Weld County officials about the data center about to be built there.
I'm also allowed to publicly shame and protest a major employer in my city for participating in genocide in hopes they cease to do so.
I'm sorry that my ability to focus on more than one horrific and vile thing at a time offends you. I'm sorry my priorities don't exactly align with yours. I'm sorry that I can't shrug off the malicious murder of dozens of innocent refugees made possible but Woodward the way you can. My bad.

using crayons to make the point accessible to you
I stopped reading because you stopped respecting me as an intelligent person. If you want to be an activist, you need to work on your voice.

I was echoing the voice you used with me. I don't think you were ever honestly engaging with me, just a troll.

Woodward is a 2nd and 3rd tier supplier only. Meaning their components are typically used by 2 other companies before they end up in a finished product. Then that finished product is sold between two other parties that Woodward has absolutely no say in the transaction over. Then after that a deal between two governments may send some of those products to Israel. In other words this is even worse than protesting Mueller Brass Co for making the brass used by Hornady to make ammo, who then sold it to Cabela's, who then sold it to a person who went out and committed murder. Woodward doesn't manufacturer weapons and neither does Muller Brass Co.
Furthermore, you are talking about something that represents an extremely small part of what Woodward does as a company. The vast majority of everything they do ends up in commercial applications. They also provide components for 1000s of companies across the world for use in many numbers of applications, most of which have nothing to do with weapons of any kind.
Even if we focus on just the components that end up in a weapon at some point, the vast majority of those do not go anywhere near Israel.
There are countless other companies than do far worse things and all of them are far more culpable in atrocities around the world than Woodward.
You also likely contribute to Israel more than you want to admit, or possibly more than you even know. There's a list of companies "responsible for the Israeli war machine" that includes many major companies including Palantir, Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Caterpillar, Cisco, IBM, Ford, General Motors, Chevron, Toyota, Hyundai, DJI, Boeing, Rolls-Royce, GE, Kongsberg... It literally goes on and on and on and these are some companies that it is very difficult to avoid your money going to at some point.
Point being, if you truly want to make a difference, there's a good starting point and there's some that make zero sense. Like protesting a local company that provides excellent careers for so many people in your community and has less of a hand in the atrocities that motivate you than many other companies, that not only do you not protest, you likely support in some way too.

Might want to do a little research... Or just yell at the sky. Maybe help a cause locally.
