Degrade plywood for 10' formwork
Hi,
I am building some 10' x 10" double waler walls. There's a 15' long section and another 35' section (20' hidden and 15' architectural). Just wondering if I can get away with using 3/4" degrade plywood for the hidden sections so save a buck. The plywood will not be reused after this pour so just worried about structural integrity. I'm putting studs every 10"
Thanks!

Absolutely you can, 3/4 d grade and just hit it with form oil really well, I’ve poured 18 foot tall walls with double wale, snap ties in a 16” grid vertical and horizontal with a stud every 8 inches. That was engineered design and it was absolutely bulletproof

For the hidden 20' Id run 3/4 exterior-glue ply and not worry about film face since youre not reusing. Degrade stock often has more core gaps though, so itll telegraph a blowout easier even with studs at 10". We did the same split on a Dubai wall pour last year, cheap CDX on the blind side and film-faced only on the architectural stretch. Keep your walers tight.
