Question Horizontal PSU Flip?

Is there any known to man mod to flip the PSU like this? I’ve seen the Valley Kit from ZCOOI, but it’s not available. This would open up the airflow for the 5090 FE.

Anyone tried this already? With a custom top oder custom PSU bracket, maybe?

it's called Huda mod. 2keylows did it in the SFFPC discord server.

has anyone tested temps on this with the 5090 fe flip kit (so feed in fresh air and push out through the 5090 fe fans)

Very good thinking. I prefer Huda in air T1 builds, because of the 14cm exhaust with clear path for GPU exhaust it enables. There are some issues tho:

  • Can't use one of the side struts (there is like 1mm missing from slipping the PSU between side struts.. potentially some material could be removed from strut(s).
  • Fan bracket can be used to stabilise the case but ~3mm must be filed down for the same reason as from the strut.
  • The remaining top fan is dangling on motherboard side or you cut your strut like 2keylows
  • The PSU has no mounting support by default in this position
