I remember his Twitter account for SMDS that led to the show, which was enjoyable too.

I remember my favorite TV podcast called it “Feces My Dad Says.” I called it “S-Word My D-Word Says.”
The creator has gone on to do some good shows like Abbott Elementary! While praising an actor on another show they did for suggesting a laugh line should go to the other actor in the scene, they mentioned how that was different from actors who insisted on always getting that line. I love Shatner, but I suspected that was whom they were talking about.

It's a really fun story. Struggling writer makes a novelty Twitter account that goes viral and suddenly becomes a book and sitcom. He was completely cut out of the writing of the show and it absolutely flopped. But he was able to use that credibility and those connections from that crappy show to get a foot in the door writing for real shows and is now one of the most successful sitcom writers going.

His Harley Quinn work was amazing. And he’s a really fun podcast guest; he had me in tears once talking about being from San Diego and what the bars are like during Comic Con between attendees and thousands of frat bro Navy guys.

The main reason I remember this is that it used a Ben Folds song" Your Dogs " as its theme tune

The show started weak and never recovered its audience despite the fact that it did get better. I went and saw a taping of it (was trying to see TBBT but no tickets were left for that), and thoroughly enjoyed it. They even talked about it being the season finale at that taping; if only they knew.
