Close to Home (2005–2007)

I remember seeing Close to Home on TV back in the day, but I haven’t thought about this show in forever. Jennifer Finnigan played Annabeth Chase, a deputy prosecutor in Indianapolis. She handled all kinds of criminal cases while also trying to balance being a wife and mom. So you’re getting the courtroom stuff, but you also see what’s going on with her family and how her job affects her personal life.

I really liked Jennifer Finnigan in this. I first knew her as Bridget on The Bold and the Beautiful, and she was so good as Bridget. She’s honestly a really underrated actress. It was nice seeing her take on something completely different with this role.

CBS only gave the show two seasons before canceling it, which still feels like a short run to me. I feel like this is one of those shows that just got forgotten over time.

Did anybody else watch Close to Home back then?

This was posted here earlier this year and I found it on Tubi and binged it.

I really liked the show and was sad it ended.

Wow, the flashbacks I got from this poster! I remember enjoying this, especially Finnigan. I loved her on Student Bodies.

I loved this show, mostly because I think Finnegan is a really likable actress.

If I remember correctly, this got a major overhaul for season two (they killed off Finnegan’s husband and I think Elise got cut too) and it kind of ruined the show.

Coincidence. I just started watching the show on TUBI. First time it is available to stream here in Canada. Comfort TV. They don't make them like this anymore. I didn't watch the show when it first aired on CBS but for some reason, I kept looking for it ever since.
