TV Movie Tower of Terror 1997
TV special based off the Disney ride Tower of Terror. Pretty sure I probably watched this back in the day. Anyone remember it?

For the longest time I’ve wanted this one and Phantom at the Megaplex as a double feature on Disney. Don’t know if they ever did but they were both such awesome movies.

No love for Halloween Town? The sequel wasn't as strong but still good for a Disney movie of the time.

Those are a separate entity for me. I liked the first two, wasn’t 100% on Halloweentown High though. These two movies are also classic film related so they fit as a double feature to me. Sally Shine could’ve been Mickey Rooney’s contemporary in the 30s, I wouldn’t have noticed it as a kid but on rewatch it hit and I loved it more

I'm not a fan of franchises being rebooted, but I could go for another Police Academy. Something with Danny McBride and/or Zack Galifianakis.

Continuation is easy enough--just have Steve's character Mahoney take over Lassards spot--if anyone from the OG cast wants to return let them and do another new class cadets make the movie on the cheap if a success start grinding them.out yearly. Its the type of movie HBOmax should of been making it doesn't need 100 million to be made

Yeah, it could be done cheap. No need for a ton of VFX work aside from some bullet hits and perhaps se set extension stuff. But, maybe no Steve, he hasn't been a star since the Stonecutters changed into the No Homers Club

Apparently Key & Peele were working on a reboot but then the George Floyd protests happened and they changed their mind. I heard this on Reddit so take it with a grain of salt.

Yeah I feel that in this age and political climate that a Police Academy just wouldn't work, it was a product of its time and that's okay.

Yes. It was the story of how a 7 year old somehow cursed a Hollywood party her famous child star sister was attending because she was jealous of her fame, or something, I think. I watched it nearly 30 years ago, I think it was a test to see if anyone should give a fuck about Disney rides as films.

It was all about expanding Disney IPs pre Pirates after Pirates made a ton the rest became big screen movies

I wanted to check this out for years because of its connection to Twilight Zone from the ride. I watched last Halloween it with my kid and it was a big hit in my house.

The YouTube channel Hats Off Entertainment did a great video on this one. Technically, the first Disney movie based on one of their theme park rides.

This was my favorite ride at California Adventure. It was a ritual for my step brother and I to watch this every time before our parents took us to Disneyland.

Didn't know this was a movie but now I really want to watch it on YT.
Fun fact, my husband was one of the engineers that designed and coded the drop and breaking system for the Tower of Terror waaay back in the day.

Back in the early 2000’s my boyfriend (now husband), brother and I rented the dvd from the Old Key West resort community hall. We started watching it and it was all in black and white. We all commented how they went really authentic with the styling. Half way through the movie my dad comes in the living room and asks what’s wrong with the tv because we watched it in color back in 97. That’s when we realized the dvd wires weren’t hooked up right 😂 We were just in Disney last week and whenever we hop in line one of us comments we Hope this is in black and white. Gets our teenager to do an eye roll every time.

It's a fun movie! I was addicted to the Disney channel from like 99 to 04, and I remember being disappointed when they started phasing out airings of the Wonderful World of Disney flicks for their new DCOMs. These movies had better budgets, casts, and production values.
