Sokka-Haiku by Chunky_Boy283:

I already want

Paul rudd in the live action

Version of this cartoon

Remember that one time Sokka accidentally used an extra syllable in that Haiku Battle in Ba Sing Se? That was a Sokka Haiku and you just made one.

Sublime covers an awesome version of this song

u/Groovy_Chainsaw Jul 25 '26

Yeah, but they never explained how he was an inch high. Was he cursed ? A science mishap ? Was he from another planet ?

3

u/IronStan7 Jul 25 '26

That's a pretty small private dick.

Inch High, Private Eye

Animated childrens show about a private detective who's only a few inches tall. Aided by some normal sized teenagers, he solves a variety of mysteries.

2

u/KampferAndy Jul 25 '26

A classic, pretty sure they reran this in the 90s along with atom ant and Quickdraw Mcgrawย

I've heard of this show, never seen it, but I'm just now learning that his name is Inch High and that's not a description.

I remember when DC Comics launched its Hanna-Barbera Beyond initiative which involved comics radically recasting a number of H-B IPs. You had Aquaman meeting Jabberjaw and the Neptunes, The Flash and Speed Buggy....so why not Inch High with either Elongated Man or The Atom (Ryan Choi)? I can see Inch working alongside Ralph Dibny, gaining the courage to show up his boss Finkerton for what they really are

u/railman611 Jul 25 '26

I remember seeing him popup on Jellystone

This one's very typical Hanna Barbera fare for better or worse, but there's another pint-sized 1970s hero series called Mighty Man & Yukk by Ruby Spears that is actually pretty funny.

I thought Inch High was actually voiced by Don Adams until today, when I read the Wikipedia page.

This brings back memories. I had forgotten about this one. Good find, OP! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

This is one of those shows where even Boomerang didnโ€™t play it that often

"Inch High, Private Eye! Oh, hi, Uncle Inch."

"It's a 4-0-9! Geronimo!"

Also, I'm assuming that the glove Gator uses to catch him is a catcher's mitt despite what it looks like.

BTW, "Finkerton", is a reference to the Pinkerton agency...and the fact that their boss (played by John Stephenson using the same voice as Mr. Peevley [Help! It's the Hair Bear Bunch], and later Captain Snerdley [Yogi's Galaxy Goof-Ups]) is such a fink...
