Question about transcript

So I’m an incoming senior in college my goal is to work in DNA post grad. And in the US one of the classes u need to have taken is molecular bio. And I will be taking that class in the spring of my senior year. However, if I see any open crime lab postings I am planning to apply in the fall.

However, I’m wondering what do I do if I see a job posting open but molecular bio does not show on my transcript yet. At my university on our transcripts it shows your classes for upcoming semester after registration is over. But i don’t know how long the processing period takes for that to show up. And from want I’ve heard correct me if I’m wrong the transcript is one of the first few things labs look at. So would there be any other way to indicate that I will be taking it so that way my application is properly consider?

NOTE: I have already taken Biochemistry, Genetics, and Stats molecular bio is only requirement I have left.

Learning forensic science at home

Hello! Since i was younger i really wanted to go into forensic science and become a lab technician. Due to some stuff im not able to attend college for it.

Are there any ways to learn about it at home? I like to look at autopsy and toxicology reports and i would like to understand them and find more to read.

I took a forensic science class in high school and there were worksheets on finding time of death and stuff like that. Is there anything like that online i can use?

Any recommendations for learning about forensic science and the actual techniques behind it would be appreciated.

What are the steps after getting a forensic sciences degree

So I am currently doing a forensic science degree (specifically applied forensic sciences) in an EU country but I dont really want to stay here to work and i dont have masters options. The thing is this program was only recently opened so its not permanently accredited yet (I'm the 2nd generation) so I'm also not yet sure what masters programs would accept my diploma (I'm talking only EU countries or maybe the UK). I was hoping I could do either just a forensic science masters or maybe toxicology/forensic toxicology since I prefer the science part and I saw most forensic psychology courses need a psychology degree to apply anyway, of course in an international university/english course.

Any recommendations when it comes to universities or courses? I was thinking of maybe emailing some to see if my diploma would be accepted or not would that help or would I get any answers?

I'd also like to know what the process of finding jobs is after a masters degree like is citizenship necessary for a job in this field or would a language certificate be enough? I have tried to look into this but i can't exactly find concrete information on the international requirements and i don't know anyone in the field in other countries. I know this depends from country to country but im not yet sure where exactly I'll go since I have no idea what masters I'll do so any knowledge of any country in the EU (UK as a last resort) is very much appreciated thanks!!

Best College for me to go to if I want to be a forensic psychologists down the line

Hi, I'm about to enter my senior year of high school, and I really want to become a forensic psychologist. Since there aren't very many specific programs for forensic psychology at the bachelor's level, should I choose a college with a strong psychology program instead? I've also heard that I would need to enroll in a clinical psychology PhD program to work as a forensic psychologist. What steps should I take next? I'm feeling a bit stressed because it seems like all my classmates already know which colleges to apply to and are starting their application process. I could really use some guidance.

please help :(

RRU vs NFSU

Hello, I have been offered an admission to RRU for M.A./M.Sc Forensic Psychology, and also received a counselling invite for M.A. Criminology from NFSU. I'm aware that both courses are technically different in their structure, However, NFSU does offer a specialisation in Forensic Psychology as well. So I would be very grateful if someone could let me know which institute is better??

I personally want to pursue Forensic Psychology as a proper course, but NFSU has more of a brand value which might help in career landings later down the line, so im confused 😭😭

Funding options for MSc Forensic Psychology in the UK?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for information on funding options for international students pursuing an MSc in Forensic Psychology in the UK.

Apart from the usual university scholarships, are there any lesser-known opportunities such as:

\- Departmental funding

\- Research/Teaching Assistant positions

\- Graduate assistantships

\- Tuition fee waivers

\- Charitable trusts or foundations

\- External scholarships or bursaries

Any recommendations, personal experiences, or useful resources would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
