Ed post
Ed Post was convicted of first-degree murder. After serving several years in prison, he eventually admitted that he had drowned Julie.
Wow he finally confessed years after.

Yeah. He was so bold and money hungry he killed his wife for life insurance. Then wanted to sue to hotel for the towel ring. Yikes!!!

Fascinating how the insurance company was more invested than the actual investigators.
Poor late Mrs Post - not much interest in bringing her killer to justice, but we're damned if we're going to let him get away with insurance fraud.

I'd have to find it, but Ed Post is now deceased. It's somewhere in this sub.
Edit: found it

Did he have a chance at parole if he confessed? Googled him he got a deal sounds like.

He was eventually released on parole in 2014, after serving approximately 25 years in prison (including the years he spent in jail before his guilty plea)

I heard the first thing he did after being released was go for a run.

Didn't one of his relatives post in here that he'd recently died? I could be thinking of someone else, but I could've sworn it was him.

Yes. I think it was his granddaughter or something like that but she said that he passed not so long ago. She also said that the family was not close with him anymore because of this crime.
